This one isn't quite finished but its far enough along that I have to share. Its a four line Camillus 2 bladed jack. The celluloid scales were just starting to show signs of out gassing. So I popped the scales and replaced them with moose antler. This is the second knife I have done in this material. I really like it!

I have enough moose antler left for about 3 more smallish slip joints. So far I like the ease of working with moose. when cutting it, the antler is fairly thin and sorta flat. I have cut them to shape and then split the piece using both halves. Depending on what a person wants, you could just use one half. The part of the antler facing forward on a moose has a different color and texture than the back. One could cut the antler to match textures. Or, use both sides like I did.

Wow Randy, that's really nice!! At first glance, I thought the handle was exterior Ram's Horn, but the color didn't seem quite right so I knew it was something else. Very nice job. I like it. ::nod::

Thanks Mike! You know I got the same impression. My first thought was , "Wow its got that rams horn look to it". The lock back that I did in moose also gave me the same impression.

Nice job on one of my favorite knife patterns!
I have a couple waiting on the shelf for me to get to them.
