::shrug:: Help with id on this old red handled Remington. I can only make out the R3 and then what looks like a 1. It does have an acorn shield which means it has a leather punch blade and I assume the last digit would be a 5 for pyremite handle material. It is about 3 1/2 inches long closed. thanks, Terry ::tu::

Might not be able to tell for sure with the blades broken off, however, Stewart and Ritchie show an R3185, 3 1/2", clip, spey, punch in red celluloid on page 115 of their price guide.

Other than the main blade being a little short :D it looks like a pretty decent knife. What are your plans for it ?

::dang:: rem collector, sorry for the long delay, been gone. I intend to have the muskratman repair it with a original blade if he can, it belongs to a friend of mine and it was his long gone granddads. I have one with the same red handle and acorn shield, but it is a smaller version, can't read the number and it to has a broken blade only the leather punch. what kind of value do these have if complete? thanks, terryl308
