Recent new member here, and love this site. I've been reading up on knives of all kinds, i've got a few recent Queens and Schatt/Morgans, but I'd like to get a EDC in a Great Eastern version.
The ones I most like are:
Cuban Castro,
Geppeto Whittler
Courthouse Whittler
Any of you fellows carrying these blades want to chime in on quality and usefulness? Budget allows for one soon, I'm getting research in.

Welcome to AAPK Tab! I dont own any of these patterns, I do however like the gapetto whittlers, just dont have one yet. Any of the 3 would be great candidates, IMO. I'm sure someone will be along soon with some insight that you're looking for. Bill

Welcome to AAPK!
I own each of the knives that you have listed above. It depends on what size knife that you like to carry as an edc.
The Cuban Castro is a larger knife with 4 blades and is about 4 1/8" closed.
The courthouse whittlers are also nice and have 3 blades and is about 3 3/4" closed. This is a easy pocket congress pattern
that also comes in a 2 blade version.
The Geppetto Whittler is a great knife also. It is a 3 blade knife and is 3 1/2" closed. This knife comes in several blade combinations.
I am not sure if you prefer the wharncliffe main blade or a clip. I love both!

I also own at least one of each of the patterns you have identified.
I can tell you that quality is top notch across the board for all GEC offerings.
Usefulness would of course depend upon your needs and situation.
One of my favorite all time patterns is the courthouse whittler; it is capable, nice in the hand, and very pocket friendly.
The #53 Cuban is a beautiful knife as well, but it is considerably larger. If your EDC needs to be stout and large, that would point you to the Cuban.
If you need something a little smaller, then the Geppetto or the Courthouse are more appropriate. Biggest difference there being the Geppetto is a bit chunkier, while the courthouse is a bit more "nimble" if you will. Also of note is that the Geppetto is also available in both Wharnie and Clip main blade configurations, I believe.
I can tell you this - you will really like whichever one you choose, and you will likely eventually own all three (call that an educated guess ...
)
