Help IDing this little Buck

As you can see on this blade it was made in 2002.
The knife was a premium for a subscription to the new Bill Dance fishing magazine.
Since I liked his TV show and am one of the few bass fishermen in Oregon (where salmon & trout are king), I subscribed to the magazine.
The knife came in the mail and before the subscription was up, the magazine went under, so they added a few issues to my outdoor life subscription as I recall.
Too bad they went under; it was a good magazine.

That was how I acquired the knife. It is a handy little USA made Buck.
I carried it for a couple years and put it away in a drawer.
I found it this week and thought I would post it & see if anyone knew any history on the pattern?
I don’t recall seeing this pattern in Buck’s catalogs.
Anyone got any info on it?

As a collector of other Buck models, BUT with the ability to view catalogs, I can tell you the name and model.
If its 2 7/8 in closed its a Mini-Access, Model 462. It came with a key ring, which I suppose would be used to hold keys.
If its 3 1/2 in closed, its a Access 2.25,Model 463, if its 4 3/8 in closed a Access 3.0, Model 465.
All with drop point partial serrated blades and injection moulded, glass-filled thermoplastic handles. And a 'flick-it' opener on the blade.
Suggested retail price of 19.00, 21.00 and 30.00 new. Glanced at the 2004 catalog and it was not present.

As a member of the Buck collectors club you have computer access to all catalogs and newsletters from the past.

It is the 3-1/2" model 463.
I would like to find the bigger 465.
These are light weight but there is a lot of "cut" in this little guy.....typical Buck I guess.

I didn't know they had online resources for the Buck Collectors Club.
If you would care to share a link to where someone can join the collectors club you might get some takers.

Here is my bottomlines.
For your money you get. A quarterly newsletter, with info from both THE Bucks and from other factory folks. Members write stories on histories, experiences and knife ID. I personally have written a couple on my chosen area of series 300s. There is a website area you can look at all old newsletters, all Buck catalogs and there is a growing history section, where information from experienced members is recorded for each model of knife.
You get yearly dealer catalogs and pricelists. You get a dealer type card which lets you buy two knives a year at dealer cost and a bunch of accessories at cost.
You have access to classified section on the website, there is a yearly club knife you can purchase and you get access to other special knife offers. Some of which are not offered to public.
Thats what you get for your yearly cost of $30.00, BUT the great deal is you can get a lifetime membership for $100.00 which is a great deal in the end.
