I've used Dremel's since the 80's, we used to use them in car stereo work for cutting dashboards. Most of my older Dremel's simply puked....... and I'd get another. Once you let out the "magic smoke" , they tend to quit.
Anyways, my little model 770 started getting real raspy today, almost like the shaft had bent. On inspection, and cleaning, everything looks fine. I'm thinking the front bearing has dried out. (we live in New Mexico) So the big question is.........
Out of all these, which lubricant would you try for a 7200-10000 rpm sealed bearing ?
1) 3 n 1
2) WD - 40
3) A graphite spray
4) Tri Flo (teflon)
I've got all four, but I'm open to anything else you guys might suggest. I just want to quiet it down........ without it bursting into flames !!
