This is a Robeson Shuredge Cabinet I bought last year and I'm still trying to figure out what was in it and if there was a tray in the front or what.
It has a slot cut for glass I presume and then a space of maybe an inch or 1,5 before the dividers start.Right in front of the dividers is another slot.
A few dividers are missing.
It has whats left of the Robeson Shuredge name on top,it's hard to see.
anyone have any ideas??
about 31 long and 11.5 high.back opens
I believe this sat on top of a larger cabinet(has 2 clips on bottom/front) and possibly held sizzors/razors?? something like that?...
I want to restore it right ..

I have a couple of display cases that are similar to that one, but not of identical construction.
You're lucky to have the dividers that you have. A lot of these kinds of cases got altered so some antique dealer could use them to display small items in their booth at the antique mall.
That's what happened to the largest of mine. It originally had two long drawers in the back, instead of the drop down door like yours. They dismantled the drawers, saving only the fronts, and turned them into two slide in shelves. They had dividers at one time, as the drawer fronts are cut on the inside to contain them. And, of course, they did away with the knife board, so customers could see through the glass and view the trinkets.
My larger case has two grooves cut into the inside front edges of the side panels, one pair to receive the knife board, and the other a pane of glass. They are held in place from the bottom by a long thin board that also has two grooves to contain the bottom edges of the knife board and the glass. On mine, that board is held in place by two wood screws. Looks like yours, which appears to be missing, was held in place by those rotating metal tabs.
My case has two nice and intact red and gold Robeson ShurEdge Cutlery decals, one on the top and one along the bottom front edge below the glass.
Lowes or Home Depot sell pieces of poplar of the correct thickness to replace your missing divider.
Are there any numbers on those little round labels I see in the cubby holes?
This was most likely a pocketknife display, although they did make a razor display case of similar size and design. I've seen a good many of these for knives, but only one like this for razors.
The razor case is depicted below. This is not my case (I Wish!). It sold on Ebay a year or so ago. I did not win it.

That's what I thought too,the Knife board or tray fits in the front.
The Cabinet has 2 grooves,one being right in front of the dividers so I figure the board has a bead on the rear edge that slids in that groove and of course the front one is for the glass.
And the bottom piece of the of the cabinet would have slots and trim the bottom off.
I wonder though would the board have been upholstered or painted like some of the Remingtons?
And yes there are some numbers and prices on the round tags.
on the uppers some numbers are:11.6-11.7 and $1.40
bottoms: 415-4 1/2...465-6....466-3 1/2
Picked this one up at a flea market for $7.00 and although the right side needs repaired or replaced..not bad
