New Puma Stock Knife
I just got a new Puma stock knife recently, and have noticed that there is not much written about Pumas in this forum. I have been wanting one of these things for porbably 25 years, and finally bought one through Ebay. It is fitted with stag scales, and was actually quite crude, but I knocked off all the sharp edges, and it now looks pretty good --- I do like it. I had noticed before, that for a fairly expensive knifes, Puma fit and finish is a bit rough. Anyone here besides me like Puma knives?

I always think of Pumas as being pure class. I have two; a big old White hunter that I use afield and a pretty little MOP lockback. I go to this site once in a while, but it makes me drool on my keyboard.

I was planning on posting some pics of this old Puma to see if anyone could give me some info on it or point me in the right direction. Your link already answered it Phil. I'll post some pictures anyhow.
It was my great Uncle's knife, he used to fillet fish with it. Its a really neat knife- 9" overall with a folding saw, gutting blade, and corkscrew in the handle. The sheath has 2 pieces so you can use the secondary blades while still keeping the fixed blade covered. The number 800 is stamped on the shield, I'm not sure of the significance. Now I know its a model 3591 Gamekeeper, pre 1964. Thanks for the link.
