Ulster 10th Mountain Division. Trying to determine if the what was normally the phillips blade was made this way or is broken off. I had always thought that was a one piece blade and does not appear it has been broken. Tim, based on my limited experience, I think it's quite common for the little screwdriver tip to be broken off on these 10th mountain knives. On the ones that were missing, I could plainly see that there was just a small dot of steel weld holding the screwdriver on. Three of these that I have (in the picture) arrived without the screwdriver.

Looks like a dandy job replacing the screwdriver.

An Ulster stockman I just picked up, don't recall seeing many of these in bone, seems they were mainly delrin.

I just came across this & had to ask how you repaired the missing screwdriver? Did you actually just cut a #2 Phillips and tack weld in place? Thank you sir

I have a Craftsman that looks almost identical, even the jigging pattern, except mine is Delrin. The plastic fades and takes on a dark pinkish brown color.
The bone on your knife however, is gorgeous! It is easy to see which is real, and which is an imitation.

Yes, but I didn't have to ruin a whole screwdriver. I bought a package of #2 phillips screwdriver long tips (the kind that fit into a socket) and just had to shorten them a little bit and then grind down one side flat (the side that mates onto the blade tang attached to the knife). It did take me quite a while to find some phillips tips that are a good match for the ones that Ulster used on the 10th mountain div. knives. I think I finally found them on ebay.
