Was down at the coast to surf fish on Core Banks for a couple of days - I prefer stainless when in a salt water environment so I carried my favorite 6347SS. That Moki of yours sure is growing on me Gino! Dogg, I never knew the DOD had contracted boots to the Chinese - always thought that was against DOD military procurement regulations. My favorite boots for my last ten years of service were the Matterhorn "Mountaineer" made by Cove in PA, prior to that I wore Corcoran, also a PA made boot. OH

dogg -- I like the bolsters on the top one. I think GEC is calling them "Washington Bolsters" now days, after that #77 Charlie Campagna Washington Jack. It's a treatment I don't see enough of to get burned out on.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
While I don't argue, the Washington Jack is a fine, fine knife and I am proud to own one, my vote for the best (by a whisker) has to go to the Huckleberry Boy's Knife they brought out in '12. For me, it's simple good looks capture the old jack knife flavor of the early 20th century. Maybe I should put together a display using just those two. What a winning combination.Old Hunter wrote:Perry, those are terrific knives - one of the best jacks that GEC has reproduced so far - nice! OH
