I haven't worked on my trailer in a long time - since before my by-pass surgery last Thanksgiving. I finally bought some metal a couple of weeks ago, and went over to my friends machine shop and he helped me build a ramp / tail gate for it. I was tired of lugging those big heavy ramps to the back when I took my Ranger to shoot sporting clays. Now I will just be able to drop the ramp.
I will go back next week and install it on the trailer. Then primer and paint. I think the trailer will be pretty much finished at that point.

Unk, have you thought about adding a tail gate assist for closing that heavy puppy?
We have a set on our utility trailer that I move the zeroturn and the woods cart on.

Hi TF - My buddy and I discussed adding a gate assist. We made the gate a little shorter to save weight (40" x 77") If it gets too heavy I may decide to add one later.

Thanks for those photos. KY is just incredibly lush and green. The woods can be incredibly dark and deep.

My wife are are in Anchorage for our granddaughter's wedding. My son and I were sitting on the back deck this evening watching the creek that flows behind the Airbnb where we are staying. Beautiful view and we were watching fish jump a little earlier in the day.
This picture is from 11:15 p.m., still pretty light outside!

Man, I wish immediate relocation to a rural area was feasible. Great photos, y'all!

Dogs are freaking out. Every dog I have owned, hates hot air balloons...
Therefore, by default, so do I.

A friend found this thing buried in the sand on a beach on Rhodes Island. It is about 50 cm (20 inches) long
What do you think?

A while back Philip (Treefarmer) posted some photos of night blooming cereus. We have a lot of it around here and this morning I managed to snap a few photos before the flowers closed up and wilted, potentially turning into dragon fruit if they can manage to get cross-pollinated. In order to help that process along, this little honeybee showed up and had himself a grand old time bathing in pollen. I watched him for about ten minutes hoping to get a shot of him leaving covered in pollen, but I had other things to do. Normally, there would've been at least a dozen or more bees swarming these flowers, but today it was just the one. As the old saying about the "birds and the bees" goes: The early bird gets the worm, and the solitary bee gets all the pollen (or something like that

)

Looks like some type of military ordinance.

Maybe WWII?

Yes, it looks like an artillery shell or a bomb. But what exactly is…

Zoomed in on the top of the power pole in the backyard the other day. This little dude is either pretty brave or pretty dumb. Twice in the last week my wife and I have seen a hawk dive in and take a dove down in the backyard and fly off.

Y'all would be "shocked" at how many times we've found dead, gray squirrels below a kicked jack when an older building on the school grounds lost power.
