A few weeks ago, with all of this Covid mess, I started carrying a knife with a pocket clip to work daily and posting it on the EDC thread on KnifeForums. They seem to like tactical folders more there, but this is my first knife home. ::nod::

Today's clip is attached to an Eafengrow CH3505 flipper in Jade G10. And my SOG Q1 has a clip too. ::super_happy::

Ahhhhhh, another Eafengrow! Bighomer just posted two of these the other day. Nice looking knives! ::tu:: :D

My latest clip is on a Kershaw 1600SS. Next to it is the 1600BLK. Picked both of these up cheap because they are illegal to carry here so not many people bid on them. But who knows, maybe I'll get to live in the states again some day ::pray:: & I can carry em then. And If not..., they are still fun knives to carry around the house. ::tu:: Having Clips, the Lanyards may be overkill but I think they look good on these two knives. ::hmm::

Those are great looking knives, Tom. ::tu:: The lanyards are very nice too, may I ask where you got them? I like the finishing touch a nice lanyard adds to a tactical folder. ::tu::

I picked up this Kershaw 1304BW on the cheap, part of their Own It pack. The pocket clip on this knife is pretty tight and stiff. If you've had problems with clips being too loose you wouldn't have that problem with this knife. I EDC-ed it for the first time yesterday but it will get much more use. It even clips tight on my nylon sweatpants. I picked up this knife because I was looking for something with a Blackwash finish. It's on the heavy side but the price was right, pretty factory sharp too.

Nice knife John! Looks good! ::tu:: :D

I bought the Lanyards right after I started collecting knives about a year ago on ebay because I like knives with bails but they just didn't look right on a classic Slipjoint with a bail. I find they fit well on the more tactical typ of knives like these. ::tu:: :D Normally you would buy a knife, then look for the right lanyard. I bought these two lanyards, then spent a year looking for the right knives to go along with them. ::dang::

I've never posted on this thread before that I can recall.
I haven’t bought many knives lately, but I decided to go out on a limb and buy something that I don’t normally collect. First, I don’t really collect “tactical” knives or anything with a clip on it, even though I have a few in my collection for variety’s sake. Second, Kershaw is not one of the brands I collect, but I decided to take a chance.

I’m slightly familiar with the story of Pete Kershaw and his company’s beginnings in Oregon and that some of his knives were made in Japan when he first started his company. I somehow missed the fact that some of his knives are now made in China, like the one I bought. Shame, shame on me for not knowing, but I'm not condemning.

The company description reads: Kershaw XCOM Military-Style Pocket Knife; 3.6-inch Black-Oxide Coated Blade and 8Cr13MoV Steel Spearpoint Blade Sharpened One Side, and Glass Filled Nylon Handle, Manual Open, Reversible Pocket clip.

I only have one Knife with a clip. SOG Trident TF11 in digital green camo. I've had it since January 2010, and it spent 8 months with me in Iraq.

My favorite part is how the cutter is actually the blade itself, using a cutout in the handle. I like having a strap cutter on my knife, but while saving wear on the blade itself, those little razor blades can be irritating to replace. Most seem to use proprietary blades. I have an Eickhorn PRT-IV, and while it uses three sections of snap-off blade sandwiched between handle and liner to form its strap cutter; the blade's width is far smaller than anything I have seen in replacement snap off utility knife blades at any hardware or craft store. Not to mention, the knife has to come apart--the pivot uses a proprietary spanner nut, and there's about 6 screws and two spacers in the frame.

Not my best but my newest.
It’s my first Chinese Schrade and I’m not really impressed. A good knife for the price and will do the job.

Thanks Tom. I usually carry a Kershaw 3160 as my daily edc / work knife.
This knife is growing on me and the assisted open is really nice.
I’m just partial to Schrade USA Old Timers so my opinion is probably a little biased.

Some tie clips. The last 2 are actually pins & the last one has a heart-shaped locket for a pommel that contains 2 tiny pictures that look to be from the 1940's.
