Thanks Ike and dog I thought it was neat the way that ole fog was hanging up there.
Phil I've drove the skyline drive and blue ridge parkway several times and was lucky to have clear weather except for one time, that time all I saw was the edge of the road and very little of that. It can get foggy up there. Enjoyed your photos

Big H You all sure have some nice country down there

always enjoy going back to Ft Campbell for our reunions then heading out thru Tennesse and Kentucky for a couple days of riding and sight seeing.
Phil. The Blue Ridge mtns are on our list of travel areas to see in the next few years. Thanks for a sneak preview
Willy you seeing any Red up there yet? Our colors here this year are not very vibrant. Weather mumblers say it’s because of the dry hot days .

Same thing up here Rip, things are just starting to change. I didn't think of that, I guess it's the same right across. Super dry and hot, things wont start changing till it cools off. Still summer weather here, really hoping for a shower soon (Canola needs it bad).
We'll see what happens next week...

You can have some of ours, we have rain forecast to start tonight and last for 3 days, the grain farmers that are having a bumper season don't need it this close to the start of harvest.

They talk about the dry weather hurting the fall colors and it's probably true. With all the rain we've had this year they should be vibrant around here. We are ahead of our to date rainfall by about 11 inches according to the guessers. I think here on homers homestead we had more than they did.

That is exactly what it is, so named for the puff of spores that comes out after they have dried.

Sunrise from Corner, Alabama this morning.
Photo was made by a longtime friend from his porch and posted to Facebook.
Too good to leave there.

Took this one from Facebook, as well.
Pretty sure it’s a Canadian National Park.
Someone here will know.
Love the broken sunbeams.

I know the story on that one. The child was severely handicapped and lived to the age of four, I think.

That one brought a tear to my eye. My older brother was wheelchair bound from age 16. Birth defects left him unable to walk or talk.

Beautiful gents!
We're finally getting more vibrate out here, noticing it from the combine more and more. I'm guessing full fall display in a week-ish yet...
There's a really nice treeline northeast of the yard; but I've been so busy wrenching and harvesting, I keep forgetting to bring along my camera!

I'll see what I can swing for tomorrow...
