Floyd, I was able to afford the lunch tab, just added a few more points to my card.![]()
Bruce, the tool box is new or at least it hasn't been used. I Googled the brand name Trinity and found they are still being made.

That’s a great box! I really like it.
Say, what’s in the very long leather sheath, with a handle just peeping out?
Oh, and what IS the story on that wire handle?!

WillyCamaro, I live a bit too far to go to that flea market on a regular basis. It's about 300 miles from where we live and it's only about 60 from where Scott lives.
Ann, it's an Uncle Henry Schrade+USA 168. I would imagine it is called a filet knife.

Ah, nice! Thanks. It looked bigger in the picture. I was sort of going by the sharpening steel. Mine is kinda huge.

Your right, yesterday I picked up a 2-pack of those big pink erasers and it works like a charm.zoogirl wrote:Very nice haul!
I particularly like the three blade at the bottom and the two stag fixeds. The lowest little fixed looks home made. Is it? The wire handled fixed has me very curious. Dunno why, but it seems old to me.
Dir110, I don’t clean much either. I like HOK’s and I just don’t want to make a worse mess. I’ll pretty much stick to the pencil with maybe a bit of alcohol if some twit stuck a big price tag on it.

David, for variety alone that is a great bunch of knives. Like the switch and the Damascus especially. But I wouldn't be disappointed with any of them. You had quiet a successful trip. Thanks for sharing.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Thank you everyone. I had a great time finding all of these and meeting some very nice folks. I will have some of them on my website soon and some reviews of the antique stores where I found them.
WillyCamaro if you're referring to the Queen one arm barlow I picked it up for $24.99. It's in absolute good condition and I just couldn't walk away.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
My mother was walking the flea market with my brother and picked this Kinfolks out for me, sent me a picture and I bit for $30. Its got some issues but I like the size and the jigged bone and heavy stamped guard. Any guess on the age? She has a good eye.

Now that's what I'm talking about Scott!!! That's the kind of knife hunting I enjoy doing. Do you know who made the one in the middle with True Value on the shield?
