Dave, that KR Johnson Trapper is really something special! OH

I think I'll tote this old well used bone Western 4 inch whittler today.

She's been down the road a bit, but still snaps great, tight, and no wobble. I like it.

I think I'll leave my Kershaw home (not really, probably in my purse) and opt for this one today....

My first SOG. It's a desert camo Trident.

Kasey I'd like to know what your thoughts are on that Trident after you've used it a while. I've owned one for a few years but never carried it.

Gino I thought you already had "the one". ::paranoid::

hahahaha, Jerry D.! Never! I actually changed my mind. Since the sun is finally shining, I loaded the kids up and we're going to go for a walk.

philco, here are my thoughts on my Trident. My dad bought a "lot" of knives on an auction, and this one was in it. Just a little background on me.... He's a pocket knife guy and I really like tactical knives. Basically, I like something that I can work with. I worked with him for years. He has a produce stand and restaurant. I was cutting boxes, cords, etc.... all the time, so I have always preferred something substantial that I can depend on to hold an edge and have a clip.

This particular Trident is missing it's clip. The blade is similar to the Kershaw Clash that I carry with me all the time. The Trident does not "feel" as substantial as my Kershaw. The handle is a little large for my hand. I am petite (not as petite after 2 kids within 3 years). I have this SOG and a QAD(which, as you probably know is tiny). This SOG will probably be retired into my BOB, but I definitely need to get a clip for it. After falling in love with my Kershaw, I am spoiled to the Speedsafe opening. Although the Trident has a pretty smooth assisted open, it....just isn't the same. ::shrug:: The only other tactical that I own that I enjoy carrying due to how it opens is my Spyderco Endura with the Emerson opening. It is vvvvveeeerrrryyyy nice. :D I generally carry my knife clipped to my waistband but on the inside of my pants. There aren't a whole lot of moms at the playground that can appreciate a good knife like I do. I am an "always be prepared" type, so I am always going to have something on my person. :)

I'm sure others have different opinions about them, but that is just my thoughts on the it. :D

Kasey -- Here's a sturdy A/O that you might find fit's your smaller hands. It's a Buck 292 Impulse and I bought it on an impulse so I thought that a fitting name. I too am a huge fan of Kershaw's Speedsafe® and I find Buck's ASAP® to be just as good. (And besides it's Orange! Also comes in pink.) Peek it out.

Kasey;I also love Kershaw speed safe but I was just turned on to Spydico Delica4 she's a flipper from Siki they say the VG-10 is good steel but I don't think it's any better than the steel in Kershaw.Today on the ground blind I carried my X X era Case with my Delica.

Jerry D., that ASAP is very nice!

garddogg56, I have a Delica, too. I'll start a new thread once I load a couple of pics. I have a few Buck tacticals, too, that I would love for you to tell me about. I know that some can be counterfeit, but I believe that these are legit. I would love you to see them, though. One is an Odyssey. One is a large 5" Bravo that I believe is for a leftie, and the other is a Vantage that I am a little suspicious of because of the placement of the anvil on the handle, but it is etched into the clip on the back of the knife.

Give me a few and I'll post the pics in the general forum.

Pics will be along when they come along but....
I have been personalizing my new Kershaw Thermite Blackwash that I got at Academy today!
Swapped the clip with the one off my Cryo which was a wee bit longer. Put it on tip up which is my preference. And only lack Black Paracord to have it JUST the way I want it!
Looking for the magic penny!

Lots of beauties, here!

Junebug, I'm partial to yellow, myself & the stockman pattern is a favorite of mine, too.
Your GEC is sweet!

Today, I'm carrying a 1972 - vintage Buck 110 and a Case CV Mini-Trapper.
(The 110 came home from the spa, yesterday.)
