Just picked these up off of a really good ebay seller https://www.ebay.ca/usr/kasesarve0 go check em' out, nice knives.
Very rare Imperial USA 1 of 20 12k gold filld keychain knife with filed scales
Unique Imperial USA Striped Gents Pen knife (I haven't seen one like this before)
Hard to find Imperial Ireland 4" Red Bone 3 Blade Stockman (Haven't seen one yet and in this kind of condition)
Imperial Ireland Apex Sodbuster and 2 blade pen knife ($15.00 cnd for bolth, quite nice shape)
He gave me a really good deal on em' all, average out to $20.00 - $22.00 cnd each (shipping included).
What ya all think?

Scott, is this little Richards set the one you're talking about? Love this set for several reasons. It's Purdy, it's a Richards lamppost tang stamp, it's unusual and it's my first tool kit knife.

Oh yeah. And it's in factory condition.

That is a beauty, Scott Sawby is a top tier custom knife maker that resides in Idaho, the lock should be his patented self lock. I have had the pleasure of meeting him and his lovely wife Marian(she passed in 2015), she also did a lot of engraving on Scotts knives.

I have a plaid Richards, but I don’t think it takes extra blades. Very nice! I would dearly love to run into one of those!

found this buck. at the local flea market. blade has seen some work.
but for $5 i could not leave it. i will look around for a replacement blade.
in the mean time i will use it as it is.snaps nice no wobble.

So I rarely stop at the local pawn shop but felt drawn there today. Looked through the bucket of folders and almost walked away when the counter girl asked if I wanted to look at the bucket of fixed. Fixed blades are not my main interest but I decided to go ahead and look.

Sometimes I get lucky. Got it for less than a c-note.

I’m not into fixed blades either but you did good on that one! It always pays to look in all the buckets.

Send it to Buck. They'll replace the blade for 10 bucks.

There are fake Randall knives that look to be real and take a Randall collector of some experience to spot. Unless you are very familiar with Randall knives it might be a good idea to get a Randall collector to have a look.

It would be interesting to find out what the general consensus of opinion is on the subject but in my mind a knife with the blade replaced by Buck puts it right back to factory condition, depending on the condition of the frame and handles of course.
