Thanx Scott Congrats Colonel OH they are a very well balances gun for a Woolworths special and the trigger is real good, not pretty but very effective,just right for pre-teens with a positive safety.the only drawback is a three round magazine but like I told my Grandson it only takes one

A lot of us were taught gun safety, sighting in and learnt to hunt with a single shot, a three round magazine would have been a luxury, " It Only Takes One Shot ".

Trapping season just opened and my oldest boy has some dog proof traps set up on a neighbors small farm. He went out this morning right after sunup with his .22 and his buddy from across the road met him down there. They found this feller who by now has just lost his britches.

Nothing says America like two teenage boys going through the field first thing in the morning with a .22!

Actually, last year he cooked a ham off of a coon like a roast. I didn't get any that night - but the oldest two boys demolished it. They said that it was delicious.

loving it. Turkeys and deer are everywhere around here, heck critters in general are everywhere. Boys are having a high ole time neighbor, making some fine memories. x10

Thanks neighbor. Sunday night right after dark I had two of my boys and one of the boys across the road with me tracking blood through the brush and field dressing a deer in the dark. Then my three and another one of the neighbor boys and I cut her up (in the front yard like the good rednecks we are). They all got an education that night.

Wade, I remember well that the Randolph brothers who lived next door would join me in hunting out back of our houses - we lived outside of town on the main highway next door to my grandfathers farm. We hunted dove and quail with our single shot shotguns (mine was a Springfield 16 GA) and we hunted rabbits and squirrels with 22 LR rifles and with shotguns. Great old days.

I’ve raised my boys on a steady diet of 16 gauges and they love them. My middle boy took his first dove with, and still rabbit hunts with my old Springfield cut down double barrel in 16 gauge.
