At first glance, I thought it was a mid '60s Chevy El Camino. 150 mph out of an engine that size, it must have a tall rear-end. My '70 442 had a 455/365 hp with a 3:42 posi-trac rear end and it would top out at only 130 mph. That's a real rabbit you have there.

Thought that was a El Camino at first as well Jerry .
150 mph is nothing to sneeze at, used to race a old HD on drag strip.your right that it’s the kind of thing that’ll get your heart going.
Cool stuff here ,thanks all.

koldgold wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 11:01 am This is my 1979 Holden Kingswood Utility Coupe, made in Australia by G.M. Holden.
I have had it since August 1979. Powered by a small block Australian designed 5 liter V 8. Power to the back wheels is over 330 HP @7000 RPM.
In the past 41 years I have only managed to clock up about 14,000 miles. This has always been a " Toy " to play with.

Last month, I had it on a race track [Eastern Creek - Sydney] - I drive it once a year on a race track, if I can.
My 76 year old hart almost stops, going into the corner at the end of the main straight, at 150 MPH. ::facepalm::
NICE!!! ::tu:: 8) ::tu:: And did ya know he steering wheel is on the wrong side... ::facepalm:: ::sotb::

GM-Holden was owned by General Motors' in the US, there for the Chevy look-a-like.
The first Holden V 8 [1969] was a small block 307ci Chevy - Later [1999] they used the late model Chevy engine.

My Holden has a 308 ratio LSD, and a Chevy Tubo 400 gear box. Using 7000 rpm down a long hill, we could see 160+ mph... Ken.
Most important; my Holden has 4 wheel Chevy Corvette Dic Brakes.

Didn't GM just recently announce that the Holden brand will end in 2021, and that GM will no longer manufacture ANY right hand drive cars? That's a shame, the Holden brand has a long history in automobiles.

You live in beautiful area Ryan. Several years ago we flew into Pittsburgh, rented a car and drove north, wandered around, sightseeing on our way to Bradford where we stayed the night before touring the Case factory the next day. Lots of picturesque streams and forests. ::tu:: Kept wishing I could stop and fish. ::nod::

Thanks everyone!

Ken-my mom's boyfriend has a camp 15 minutes from Bradford... Last time I was up there I already spent a bunch of money on a long weekend and I forced myself not to go to the Case factory again because I knew I would spend another hundred bucks or more on stuff that I really didn't need!😁 Sometimes I forget how lucky I am that I live in such a beautiful area and was also lucky enough to grow up on the family homestead with 150 acres between all of us... I still miss my grandma's place, the original homestead house... We lost that about 15 years ago for reasons I won't discuss but man I sure miss her sitting on that front porch swing...

You should have gone to the factory. The tour is great (you have to call ahead for a reservation) but it’s just a factory. There’s no store and they don’t sell anything there. If you want to avoid spending money the place to stay away from is the Zippo/Case Museum in town. The museum is good, the museum store is full of tempting goodies! ::facepalm::

They made that announcement back in February 2020.

I have not heard of the Holden brand nor where they are sold. My son has a used car client that sells many used English and Japanese right hand drive cars. Both here in the sates and will ship over seas. The MG's and Triumph is bring good prices.

Rare Austin Healey that had to have the new paint job on the hood and fenders fixed before delivery. V6 double over head cam. Less than 50 made.

Does this one have 3 duces (carbs)? I had a green AH while stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD in 1968. I never could get all three carbs adjusted properly. Ended up trading it off...regretted it every since. Great looking car there.

I've never seen an original Austin Healey with a V6. The 100-6 & the 3000 had an inline 6. That looks like a 3000. There are a lot of AH restomods that have had a V6 transplant. Wonderful cars!!

As I recall, the 3000 Mk II had triple carbs, but the Mk III had dual carbs. I'm not sure, but that looks like it might be a later Mk III.

Cast iron is my preferred cookware!
Here's some breakfast. Home made venison sausage, with a crusty sear, only achieved via CI.

I love iron skillets. I was just talking to my brother the other day about when our mom would load up her iron skillet with Crisco lard and fry up some of the best battered chicken in the south.
