Cudgee, that is an incredible picture!

I’m sitting in a tree stand this morning, but fished on the pond last evening. Pretty fall colors but still warm and muggy. OH

Morning folks, rainy day here,so getting caught up with some reading and posts. A week or so ago little brother and I got together for some bow hunting ( before the warm) . That night I got a doe , which wasn’t too big a deal, Then my brother comes up where I was cleaning the deer and said he needs help dragging his Deer,once I got by the Deer ,could see why he needed help. He dropped this Buck with bow ,at 55 yards out. Not bad ! He’s a very good shot and really enjoy hunting with him.
Take care out there ,stay safe. Apologize for pics, but took them with cell phone then transferred to I pad and now they’re all sideways.

OH that looks like some mighty fine eating right there. And that pic of the pond is beautiful.

Cudgee, that lightening pic is really cool. Just for reference, what part of Australia is that?

Mate, that is in North East Victoria, it is near the start of high/mountain country, so has valleys and volatile storms which cam form very quickly. As i am typing this, we have a severe thunderstorm warning for the whole state, they will probably be severe but local in the area where that photo was taken. Hope this helps, any questions, just feel free to ask my friend.

Looks like Bantys on the run, Scott. We had some chickens running around like that at the farm, then the dogs started chasing them around and, well . . . you can guess . . .

The chickens Scott posted reminded me of a time when I was just a young sprout, my uncle would hand us the .22 rifle and tell us to go out and get a chicken for dinner. But, the criteria was; you couldn't shoot them in the body...only the head. For those of you who have never tried to shoot a chicken in the head, let me tell you...it's NOT easy. One would think it would be, but that continuous bobbing of the head makes it difficult. And, we were not allowed to hypnotize them to make them remain still...that would be cheating.

The only buck I had today was the 722 I field dressed this little doe with.

But while I was waiting on her to show up I went fishing and hooked this out of the bay. So it was a pretty good day!

Ps. I used a Buck 105 to clean my doe last Monday - owned that knife 44 years!

How ya doing OH my nephew dropped this 180lb 7ptr late last nite,we got him out of the wood around 9pm.I shot the 130lb doe the first two hours of the season right thru da heart at 80yards as shown ::nod::Fine doe colonel
