This is a prototype Old Man Jack in the Magic Potion acrylic handle, bolsterless shadow version.

These 2 are extra special to me. These are Tuna Valley stamped farmer's jacks, which were really on made under the Titusville Cutlery line. They were a special project for Ken Daniels, who had 5 made in stag and 5 made in mammoth ivory. He also had the classic 2012-2018 green tube label and COA. The blades are 1095 carbon, where most Tuna Valley knives were made with CM154. Ken made them for only a select few people in his knife-circle of friends, and I was lucky enough to be able to get one of each.

I haven't posted any new Tuna Valley in a while, but that changes today after picking up a 2012 Amber Stag Lock back Trapper & 2017 Mammoth Cattleman from Ken Daniels at the Lexington Show this weekend.

Beauties Kevin. Every single example of that 2012 knife made has stunning color and texture stag. I'm glad you were able to get down to the KY show and find a few treasures. Wish I could have been there.

Yes I did. sort of a low turnout, but there was a lot of other events happening this weekend around here. Beginning of the county fair, a carshow at the airport, etc. + the KY show attracts all the best dealers. A new guy took over running the show and has some fresh ideas to make it better for next year, including changing the date so it doesn't conflict with other knife shows.

The next pattern for the Tuna Valley line is getting ready to be cut. There were a few rounds of prototype cuts to get things tweaked. I'm told they should start appearing in early December if things go according to plan.
