Thank you, David, Garry, and John, for your comments.

John, while central and Northern Illinois have a few covered bridges, this is the one and only in my area.
It would be great to see some that you have photographed sometime in one of your posts. I know it is a little ways from you, but we had friends who once lived in Williamsport, and when we visited, took many sightseeing trips in the surrounding area. It was beautiful country and I remember numerous covered bridges.

Cool nights finally have arrived here, been in the 40s nightly for the past week. So we’re getting some fall color now. Snapped these this afternoon.

We have our harvesting season set to start soon, and after a dry start to winter a lot of growers got bumper spring rains which will result in a bumper crop barring any unforeseen events. But the poor buggars have hit a hurdle. the Chinese have decided to put huge tariffs or boycott a lot of our agricultural products for some reason, so there is a standoff at the moment. Hope it gets cleared up, listening to people who know, it could bankrupt those caught up in it. Anyway i know a lot of you are in rural areas and enjoy these sorts of photos, so here is a header having some service work done before the harvesting starts. You all have a good weekend.

While rummaging around in a box of old stuff, mostly from my late dad, in the garage the other day, I ran across these. I seem to remember that they are some kind of a window bracket sliding adjuster for vehicles that had a windshield that tilted out at the bottom for ventilation. I was wondering if any of you classic car guys can ID these? Are they Model T or A or something else?

I can recall these hanging on a nail in dad's garage 60 years ago when I was kid. Probably not VW. He junked out a 37 Ford 1 1/2 ton truck when I was very small, could also be that, although I don't know if a 37 Ford truck had a movable windshield. I should have mentioned that they appear to be solid brass with nickel or chrome plating.

They certainly appear to be Model "A" swing arms. At least they look like the ones on my 1929 Model "A". However, they could be from a Model "T", a Model "A" or a Model "AA" as the arms for all three appear identical.

We know that they are NOT Model B or Model BB, because the swing arms for the "B" and "BB" were curves.

Yep, windshield swing arms, 1928-31 Model A Ford. Would fit my 1930 Model A.
