Re: wood burning
Came across an interesting item for wood burners on YouTube. A small device placed beside your work the captures the smoke and filters it. Small box with exhaust fan, and carbon filter pad. Made specifically for pyrography. Might be helpful in your hobby.

Re: wood burning
Thank you Oscar for thinking about me but I've discovered (the hard way) that if I'm creating a lot of smoke with the soft woods that I using, my iron is too hot. Also I use a studio easel so there would be nowhere to put it. I hope you look at all my work and enjoy them.OSCAR wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 10:32 pm Came across an interesting item for wood burners on YouTube. You do awesome work ! I’m thinking about trying it but I’m not artistic. Can’t draw a straight line. I’m very impressed by the pyrography you create.dlr110 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 12:25 amThank you Oscar for thinking about me but I've discovered (the hard way) that if I'm creating a lot of smoke with the soft woods that I using, my iron is too hot. Re: wood burning
Here's a few more I don't think I've posted.
This one was totally freehand, very amateurish. In this one I created the background. This is another in my Sutton Village series. A couple of nautical ones to go with my ships.

Re: wood burning
It took me 5 days but here is the newest ship in the wall display fleet.
I had to simplify a few details like all that ornate wood work on the stern.
I'm thinking of putting some of my old wooden handle knives around the ships on the wall.

Re: wood burning
My knife hunting trip was a bust so I decided to do some more woodburning.
