Nice, looks like an earlier version than the tang stamped ones

Thank you Sir, was very happy to have found it. Did some research and all could find was the NYK Co. Start and end dates of 1856 to 1931 . Not sure how to get any more specific dates. What’s the tell on this vs. the tang stamp ones ? Is it simply where the stamp is. Any help would be great.

Nice old scribes being shown here but that Wheatley Brothers rose to the top.

I believe so, just from my own experience I see many more with the tang stamped versus being stamped out on the blade. I believe they started stamping them out on the blade like the English made ones were then later production switched to just stamping the tang

Picked up this 4 line Camillus this week,nice tight piece with full half stop. This one has nice full Scribe,,steel liners and bolster.
Was hoping to find one in bone,stag, but this’ll do for now and goes well with my Collection of Camillus stuff.
Anybody got anymore Scribes to show off that would be great . Been interested in them as of lately
