Thanks' guy's...you know what they say..."boys and their toys"...

These are some very well built knives, the action on them is very smooth, the leaf spring kicks the blade out quick with a solid lock up and I can open and close it with one hand.

Now if they would just make one using the 23 or 42 pattern... :D

They're now showing sold out, so I just grabbed the last Pumpkin Patch auto.

Thanks guys, and WelderBob in particular, for the heads-up! I've been wanting one of these for a long time, and lucky for me, I've always admired GEC's Pumpkin Patch acrylic.

Edit for another heads-up: This site-- http://nicnac.net/contents/en-us/d107_S ... _sale.html--seems to have the older smooth bone and stag autos in stock, but they ain't cheap.

These things are nicer than I expected. I used to collect high-end autos, and the smooth action and tight lock-up on the GECs is right up there with the best in my experience ::tu::. The cap head screw "button" looks a little makeshift, but it definitely gets the job done. Thanks again for the heads-up.

Great pictures...the air here is already beginning to feel a change, Canadian Geese are starting to fly over in a southern direction and now pumpkins are on the vine or at least on a hood...

Wow - thanks again, Guys. I'm really enjoying this little auto; it's downright addictive. I wish my #72s locked-up as solidly.

I guess the background does look a little like a car hood. It's actually just a piece of glossy paper. :)
