All About Pocket Knives

Thanks danno. One of my favorites. Probably never happened but is fun to think about a guy 100 years ago standing on the side of the road with a horse and buggy repairing a harness! I think Charlie also mentioned that this pattern number was used again in later years for a different style knife Guess they figured in the 50’s or 60’s not too much need for a harness style knife! But to avoid confusion I wish they had just retired the pattern number. Sorry Charlie I know I refer to you a lot but it’s your own fault for being such a wealth of info

For such a fantastic knife model with a rich history, i found it amazing this thread went for 21 months without a post.

I agree and hopefully some more of these really special knives will join in ,their owners can post too!

I only have one, but I really like it.. My old Utica Harness Jack..

Added a decent Ulster harness jack to the collection, looks to have had little use, great swedge on main blade and really nice bone.

Looks almost new JohnR. Decent falls short as to condition. Lovely bones. Wonderful.

My two CATTARAGUS 21169G harness jacks. At one time Cattaraugus had a round shield on all knives with a punch.

Toomany, John R, jacknifeben, loved checking those out. Beautiful stuff.

Thought of this one when I came across this thread. Wanted to give a shout out to Glennbad, and add something to the page. 2010 GEC Teamsters jack that used to have some plain, flat, faded red bone. Now it's anything but. Thanks Glenn.

Thanks bud, appreciate it. Glennbad dyed that himself, and picked the stag. I didn't try to guide him on this one, gave him full reign because he has the goods and the eye for it. He always puts it all together right to make a show piece. He rocked it and I couldn't be happier. Thanks too for the photography compliments.
