Good for you! Glad you could return home. I’ve never had to live in town or a subdivision, I know y’all will be happy with most of the critters as neighbors.

Welcome back to north Texas. Parker county is a beautiful area as you know.

Your first photo I am guessing is of a roadrunner. I am happy for you that you are living in a rural area.

Thanks guys - the wife and I are so happy to be back home, back among close friends and family.

Hi Quick Steel - yes, that is a road runner. When I was growing up, we also called them a "Chaparral".

Lovely sunset, and country you have there Unk, wouldn't mind taking a trip down your way sometime in the future. We could take it easy, drink some coffee, yak about knives n' everything under the sun, and enjoy taking in the country. Same vice versa.

Mike, great shots....glad you could escape Houston's gravity. Not sure there is anywhere in Texas, to entirely escape swamp butt...but, it's gotta be better than Houston!
Dale..great pictures!!! Only been to Alaska once. Was supposed to be up there again in June...but, COVID had other plans. Truly God's Country!!!

I'll throw my northern Minnesota vacation pictures in. My granddaughter is the fifth generation to vacation there. My grandpa "Buck" first went to this lake in 1929. My parents honeymooned there. Many Point Scout camp has about 70 some percent of the shoreline so it doesn't get populated. Was kind of sad with the Covid there were not as many boy scouts around this year. They were doing some limited camps so at least it was not empty. The red lund was my grandpa's last boat. I have a newer boat but the kids help me keep her running and we haul her along every year.

Some nice bronze backs there Bill! ::tu::
They do put up a good fight and taste great!

Scott,
That grandson must have thought he hooked a runaway outboard motor, those blue gill turn sideways and it is like trying to reel in a dinner plate! Nice fish! ::tu::

Great pictures, fellers! Looking at this makes me think about 2 things. 1st the enjoyment of being with family, outside and 2nd, the possibility of a good mess of fresh fish being introduced to the peanut oil in the old deep Dutch oven. ::tu::
