Most recent addition to my pile.
Ruger 4" Blue GP100.
I replaced the Hogue finger groove grip with the old standard gp100 insert grip, exchanged the black ramp front sight with a fiber optic, and installed reduced strength hammer and trigger return springs.

Looks to be a nice shooter. And probably smoother after your spring work.

It is quite noticeably smoother.
I also did the spring work on a 3" Wiley Clapp version of the GP100, that pistol is now comparable tom a fine old Python.

Thanks! I see them frequently referred to in the various gun boards as "built like a tank."

Great stuff Gents.

Broken right paw. Lefty weak side on old 71' Colt Snake in .38 Special
71' 4 inch Stainless Diamondback.
Raptor one handed, white knuckler in the desert. Bat out drive. Popped some left hand rounds. Made lots of noise. Not a lot of accuracy, weak hand, broke strong side wrist not an option for recreation.

Thank you sincerely Steve! Prognosis is good, no surgery, if I use common sense and follow recommendations. Which I will.

Working around it. Could always be worse. Won't stop me me from having some fun along the way...

Take care!

Thanks Ken. It will heal fine.
Why God gave us two hands.

Pretty country. That range, among others, is visible from the house. Edge of town.
Good, fun 4WD and shooting less than half mile from house. Miles and miles of BLM land. Shooting, hunting, great offroad trails for driving, etc.

My dogs and I, love it out there.

Take care! Jerry

Shot the Taurus .454 Casuul today. Weak hand, lefty due to aforementioned injury. What a beast! Fun.

Catching up on the forum as it rains the proverbial cats and dogs, noticed you broke your right paw. Along with others, I wish you a speedy recovery.
If you can handle that old Colt left handed, I suppose you'll still be showing those delicious looking meats you so often post and make our mouths water? ::shrug::

Forget the Colt TF. A chore, weak hand. The .454 Casull was the test.
Yes, hope to keep cooking. Appreciate the well wishes.

Later model 1915. Picked it up as a bit of a rusty relic. Turned into a good shooter and this makes good practice engraving a real gun.

Thanks. Have the other side done. Trying to decide if I want to engrave other places in the receiver. Those flats look inviting.

You have quite the gift! Outstanding!

I was blessed to shoot the last Sousa grade Ithaca single barrel trap that the legendary Bill Mains engraved before he shuffled off this mortal coil. It wasn’t quite finished when he passed. But what he did was breathtaking.

Your work is quite impressive sir!
