That's a little scary! So you are saying ammo I loaded 2 years ago is likely to have squib loads and get a bullet stuck in my barrel?

I have always used Goex. Brand. The newer powder seems to be even fresh out of the new jar made with a different type of formula than the Goex bought back in the late 80 -90 period .I have a replica . .45 - 90 That I bought at a garage sell for 20$ back in 1980 .The man said it was a kit gun but to much for him to handle .My bother keeps the gun now hanging in his living room .we take it down almost every thanksgiving to have a shooting contest along with His double barrel 8 gauge goose gun .It is more like a macho man act of bravery .OLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 8:12 pmWhat kind of powder did you have issues with? I used to have a Stevens 12 gauge that was identical to that "Long Tom."

If I had enough cash, I could clear the ammo shelves at the LGS or hardware/ gun store. Literally. Pallet in the back of the truck. Not kidding.
As far as the destruction of civil society areas that were previously great places to live...
That is the reason I live in rural northern Nevada. Insulated thus far, but after I am gone, it will happen.
They are like locusts. Destruction of one area, move on to do again elsewhere. Insanity.

We have the problem here in Tennessee, they say they are running from high taxes but the first thing they do is produce a want list of things they want the government to do so up goes the taxes. Stupidgarddogg56 wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 10:18 am Very smart Ken

But with Illinois and Minnesota for neighbors we need to hold tight. Minnesota is becoming the state of Minneapolis with the metro area having the upper hand in the state legislature. Sad for what was one of my favorite places.
Well, as a 33 year licensed FFL they are sure to be visiting your home and family early some morning in the not so distant future.Boji wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 2:13 am As a 33 year licensed FFL this is my take on the Brian Malinmoski situation.
Yes, he was acting as a firearms dealer without a license and should have been charged.
Yes, a search warrant should have been issued for firearms in his possession and whatever records he had of his purchases and sales.
Yes, he was more than a “collector “
He knew he was under investigation and surveillance. IF he didn’t realize that he was pretty dense.
What went down that fateful morning, so far I have no opinion. Nobody was totally in the right.
I was thinking about retiring to Arkansas. But I guess everyone else is too.garddogg56 wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 11:37 pm That's good to know Homer cause Tenn.was one state I wanted to retire too![]()
I’m not a bit worried about that happening to me. I'll bet you form an opinion real quick when that day comes.
I'm not worried either, I'm not a dealer, it every case where governments go after guns, they always start with dealers. I have only sold / traded one firearm in the last 30 years, and that went to an FFL holder.Boji wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 12:27 pmI’m not a bit worried about that happening to me.
