Multiple news accounts have said that alledgedly and if so they would return fire. Even the report you posted states he shot an agent first.

Back when this discussion started I stated that I had read in multiple sources that he shot first and asked for news sources that stated the ATF fired first. So far no one has.
He knew he was facing a lot of federal firearms charges and decided to start a fire fight and he lost.

I was at the range yesterday shooting the AR and this happened. The firing pin retaining pin broke into 5 pieces and made the weapon inoperable. I have never seen this on any ARs that I have owned. This one failed on the 1214th shot fired. These pieces were recovered from the bottom of the lower underneath the trigger group. Shown with a new replacement I picked up this morning. Kind of shakes ones faith in the equipment.

Very nice Ken!!! Is that an older one? I think the oldies were produced from 1990' to 1999'. Not sure if they also "revived" this particular snake like they have the other recent production Snakes. Regardless, very nice.

I also carry the Sig 938 daily. It is jut the right size and it has a hammer, which is important to me.

Carry the P938 often as primary in town or backup to revolver or another larger frame size/ caliber as a cross draw.

Posted my new P938 SAS rig a few pages back. Fiber Tritium Bullseye sights integrated into slide. No sights on slide, dehorned and contoured for carry. 10 yard threat carry. I am ok with that as that is what I bought it for. Not the one pictured. Had another but sold it. So I own two at present. Basically, a 3" SIG 1911 without grip safety. All my semi auto are SIG SAUER.

Yea, you and I are in sync on hammer. Not saying striker fire are not well manufactured guns. Just not for me. Ranted on this in the past. To each their own.

Give me a SIG that is DA first shot unless I choose to cock it, and SA thereafter, happy camper. Decocking lever, no external safety except the grey matter in the brain pan above your shoulders. Life is good.
One exception is the P938 as you know. SA only cocked, locked and ready to rock. Not a fan of thumbing down on a live round but is what it is. I overlook that as I love the 938.

I agree about the absence of the de-cocking lever. I miss that but the balance of the weapon is so right for me that I tolerate that.
I bought a Sig compact 1911 and I really like it. Before I got it to the field, I feared it might be painful to the hand when fired. Let me tell you it was such a pleasure to shoot that I have frequently compared it to driving a Cadillac. It isn't a good fit in the pocket but it sure rides nice on the hip.

It is a New Anaconda, some refer to them as 2021's since that's when they were reintroduced.
CZ Bought Colt in 2021, but Colt had already launched their new "snake guns" with the King Cobra in 2019 and the Python in 2020.
I have not fired this one yet, but I'm looking forward to doing so.

this was not an ordinary citizen when 6 of the weapons that he sold were used in the commission of a crime. Sad how it came down but IMO this was not killing a citizen who chose to follow the constitutional rights to bear and keep arms.

I think there once was an "old fashion" notion of something called "due process" .... but I'm not too sure what that means and all
