On a side note, temps are usually 5-10 degrees cooler than what we average here in Jersey, so we thought we would enjoy a little heat relief. Such was not to be the case. It was in the mid 90s, heat index near 100, our entire week there.
Oh, well. Still great seeing Mom and Dad, fresh salt air, and some of the coastal sights.

Didn't get one this time up. Dad's not doing well so it was more about taking care of him giving Mom a little relief.
Besides, most of what was at market was soft shell. I prefer the hard shell.

For those wondering about the difference, a soft shell lobster is one that has just shed its shell. The new shell is bigger so the lobster can grow into it. All the extra room in the shell naturally fills with water that adds to the weight of the lobster. Soft shell are a bit cheaper for that reason, but when I crack into a claw or rip open a tail, I want it loaded with meat!

I'm gonna drop me a Manufactured house on it in the spring it's got a deep well power pole a septic field gonna park a fith wheel on it this next week just waiting on my wife to say she approves of it---it's in Hale, Mi. just over the next ridge line from where I live now..found it while looking for rummage sales back in June. had four bucks run over me two weeks ago while unlocking the gate small one was 4 point with a nice spread they in velvet right now up here....

It means you're going to have to replace the bearing and probably everything else that has become welded together.
You have a SNAFU!

I think a new axle would be a good start. New hubs may have bearings and seals in them, when you buy them.
Do not forget the GREASE! Without grease it will look like that, ever time.

I soak 'em in a cooler, husk on, for about an hour so, then put 'em on the grill, husk intact. All that moisture in the husk steams the corn, but allows the smoke to permeate enough to get that grilled flavor. I don't like dry, hard, burnt kernels that come from grilling sans husk, but that's me.

Pretty much the same method I use - just a large tub or anything that holds enough water to submerse and soak the ears. Get ‘em good and saturated, then throw them on a hot grill, turn every couple of minutes. Doesn’t take long, just a few minutes to cook them. In essence you’re steaming them.

But I cook them in the microwave, boil them, and brown them in butter a skillet too. It’s all good!

We usually peel the husk back, remove the silk, then close the husk back-up over them, then put them on a cooler part of the grill. Trying to remove the silk when they are hot is painful!

I'm certainly glad to hear that Charlie! After all the work you did on that boat and getting everything ready, I could just feel the let down in my soul after frying a bearing that bad!

In the sixties I grew up in Ashland Oregon and if I wasn't working on the neighbor's Ranch I was in town working in a service station. My dad later had the service station at the South Ashland exit, the first gas in Oregon when you're headed north. I seen lots of things like that fried bearings, fried engines, lots of radiator problems but of course that was the days before the sealed cooling systems.
With temperatures is in the triple digits machinery going up the Siskiyou Mountains and coming down had a pretty high rate of failure!

If we could fully harness the heat energy lost in an internal combustion engine, our energy worries would be over. There is even a name for a zero-heat loss engine - it is called an "adiabatic engine". (adiabatic means "without heat transfer") However, leave it to the marketing dweebs to misuse the term. In the 1950s, they started using "adiabatic engine" to mean any engine with a higher thermal efficiency than the traditional numbers of 20-30%. A true adiabatic engine would be very cool - literally! It would be absolutely cool to the touch and would produce no hot exhaust. It would get amazing fuel economy and would have a power/displacement ratio unlike anything seen today.

I suspect a zero heat transfer internal combustion engine will hit the market right after the perpetual motion machine.

Someday, I hope someone has the guts to actually put a linear aerospike engine into a launch vehicle. We've known since the 1970s that they are better than a bell housing engine, but the projects that were supposed to use it keep getting canceled. (like the X-33)

The linear aerospike is incredibly cool!!
