Great group, I especially like the bottom one's bone, and the second down with the textured wood. Loooooooooooooooooove that grooved wood like a gunstock. Great ones.

Love seeing so many wooden handles. Wooden handles look fantastic on Barlows. Nice group.Brumbydownunder wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 9:42 pm Love a nice Barlow - its also one of my 'go to' patterns when I'm reworking old knives

Re: Barlows does anyone else love them
These two pocket knives arrived recently in a large group of pocket knives that I purchased. I did NOT buy the group to obtain these two particular pocket knives. However, I am NOT complaining and they are both keepers. They are both Sabre, pattern 629, single blade, single tang stamp, two stamped bolsters, 5" closed, "BARLOW" pattern or style pocket knives. Both tang stamps read "Sabre - JAPAN - 629" Two bolsters read "BARLOW" and the other two bolsters read "Sabre BRAND" Both are in VERY GOOD condition. Both required some minimal cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are.

These two pocket knives arrived recently in a large group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. I did NOT buy the group or lot to obtain these two particular pocket knives. However, I am NOT complaining and they are both keepers. Each pocket knife is an Imperial, each has two blades, each has a single tang stamp, each has two stamped bolsters, each measures 3 1/4 closed and each is a "BARLOW" pattern or style pocket knife. Both pocket knives have tang stamps that read "Imperial (crown) - PROV. R.I. - USA" The bolsters on each pocket knife reads "BARLOW" Both pocket knives are in VERY GOOD condition. Both pocket knives required some minimal cleaning. I took some pictures and here they are.

Very nice Skip. Although they were considered a budget line when they came out, some of those old Imperials will surprise you with the snap and tightness they have.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 7:00 pm These two pocket knives arrived recently in a large group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. All beauties, but I'm especially partial to the GEC TC with a single sheepsfoot blade and, of course, the one with stag handle.

Thanks Sharpnshiney, appreciate that, and just saw your comment last page, thanks twice.
Thanks Q, thought that stag TC and the ivory Lionsteel would be your faves if I had to guess. Half right. Thanks for the comments.
