Our kids gave me this same knife. I am fairly impressed with it, and it looks good.

That makes three of us now with Ukrainian blades.
Nothing fancy, just a solid knife that will do the job. I like the fact that they come with a leather sheath. So many knives today come with plastic/kydex sheaths and I don't like them at all. I'd much rather have canvas or leather.Re: Show off your fixed blades!

I said that the BPS knife reminded me of Old Hickory knives which were made by Ontario Knife Co. (OKC) and this is why. This OKC field knife is very similar to the BPS.

BPS also makes one of the coolest little, EDC, carver, Puukko knives for $25!
I’ve bought a coupla of them over the past year, and can’t seem to hold on to them?!
I pull it out to cut an apple, or carve a marshmallow stick for the fire—and whoever I’m with who sees it, wants one immediately. So I end up gifting them out—and then I don’t have one.
Rinse. Repeat.
Oh well, it’s easy to gift, ‘cause it’s so reasonably priced, and a great little performer that truly outclasses knives that are three times the price.

Okay, this is starting to get weird. I was watching another program about ranchers in Montana and Wyoming who are supplementing their income by searching for and finding dinosaur fossils on their property which are pretty valuable. At least three of the individuals depicted finding fossils were using Buck 119s to probe, scrape and uncover evidence of a fossil bed. This is a “ fixed blade” I made a while back. From an old Mill saw blade, I left the tooth on the back and put Fumed English walnut on the handles.

I keep coming back to look at that McAlevy knife. I have 9 of them and this one is pretty nice. Having handled it, I appreciate its worth.

When I look at all these fine blades you guys are posting here ... I am inspired! 
Is that Desert Ironwood handles on that AG? I have a couple blocks I will be using soon, but not till the first of the year .... upholstery and more upholstery before end of this year.

... I don't think the wood is Desert Ironwood, I have a large collection of Desert Ironwood carvings and I don't think that the handles are Desert Ironwood. I look forward to seeing yours on a knife that you have made, it really is a beautiful type of wood.
