Wood carving projects
Re: Wood carving projects
C Wade, nice beaver carving.
Doug I still have the rooster you carved for me. The corn stalk is a nice touch.

Thanks guys.
C-WADE7 I'll try to get a picture, unfortunately my phone isn't working right and it's about to die Basically I just put a angle like this / to the tip and put a convex edge on it.

Made these up for a member (MIA for awhile) and sent it to him after making contact with him to make sure he’s ok.
Re: Wood carving projects
Made this for a coworker(he collects spurs)who gave me a used exterior door for my sons house.
Re: Wood carving projects
Great work C-Wade.
Re: Wood carving projects
Thanks. This poor thread seems to be dormant other than a couple of us here lately.
Re: Wood carving projects
Thanks. We’ve had a slow down at work so my whittler has been my edc lately.
Re: Wood carving projects
Some things my Mom gave me yesterday. My Dad carved them 30 years ago.
The rose and bud are a carved version of a tattoo he got from Lefty in Scollay Square in the 60’s.Re: Wood carving projects
Thank you. He was talented. Great all around guy.
The carvings are already hanging in my kids rooms.

Re: Wood carving projects
Wow, what a treasure. And very impressive carvings. Glad you have them.
Re: Wood carving projects
My son’s girlfriend has to wear a vest when she’s at work, and wanted to dress it up so I made her a couple little pins to put in it. The last one is from some show they watch, Rick and Morty.
Re: Wood carving projects
Couple of new projects(one posted on the knife forum). The first is out of a 2x2x 10” single piece of Poplar wood.
Re: Wood carving projects
Again C Wade that is some fantastic work. I really like the first joint under the hook. And of course the knife is wonderful.

Coley, you truly are an ARTIST!

I've said this before, I couldn't carve a toothpick.

Thanks Skip! It keeps me occupied in the evenings, there isn’t much worth watching on tv anyway.

My favorite, out of your latest group, is the
"Hook and swivel to chain links to ball in a cage."

Re: Wood carving projects
I bet I carved the hook/swivel nearly 2 years ago and the chain links about 6 months ago and finally got off my butt to do the ball and cage. I’ve been wanting to do this a long time but kept stalling out for some reason.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 7:03 pmMy favorite, out of your latest group, is the

Re: Wood carving projects
Had a pod shaped piece of scrap walnut off the scroll saw so I made a little Santa.
Re: Wood carving projects
