Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Many thanks Cudgee, Kevin, Mark & 'Q' ! ::handshake::
It's funny ... two years ago I would not keep a Case knife because they sell so well, but now I'm moving others out to make room for them in my collection. ::shrug:: However all my Hattori made knives are here to stay. These three I was very blessed in obtaining, especially the Mammoth.

I wanted to post this but not take a lot of time with it. It's not for sale but meant to encourage the pickers and yard sale junkies always on the lookout for a bargain. Last year I was at the flea market I go to a couple of times a month and dealing with a guy that was in the process of cleaning his attic out. I bought a few Old Timers and the like and had a small pile and was getting ready to pay up and move on. He asked me if I liked knives and I told him I was always looking. He said wait a minute then and went to the cab of his truck and got a cardboard box. He said there were some broken and damaged knives in it I might want to look at. I saw this gem in there and asked about the price and he asked me if it was worth $10. I put it on the pile and we settled up. One of the backsprings was gone on the knife and it was faded and had light rust. How they got a spring out and didn't damage the handles is beyond me. Even a skilled person and can crack a handle getting a spring out. Anyway, I found a spring in my junk and send it and the knife to Kaleb's knife and beauty spa. He did a super job on this. I'm not a fan of buffed and polished knives, but I'm going to put this knife up for my grandson, so it is going in long term storage, and I thought that was the best option. Pickers keep on picking. There is sometimes a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

They look amazing, paid a little more than I wanted, he was firm at 500 but he had 2 I grabbed the nicest ones, toes I got for 150 ea. very pleased overall. Near as I can tell the Bulldog is 1964-65 and the toes 65-69 on one and 1980 on the other.

Nice knife!
The full size Copperlock is one of my favorite patterns. I have one in Abalone and it's been a great knife.

Went to get an Axe Handle at the local farm store, they had 2 tequila bone and 2 blue saw cut but all 4 had blade wobble :| i picked up this Crossroads and was immediately impressed. Great snap, fit, finish and centering. They are a bit pricey but premium steel and G10. I see a lot of people spend more on a China made Jack Wolf or C. Risner and I figure this keeps jobs in Bradford PA for the same price.
