I forgot to post the other Master Imai knives recently finished by Fumio Inagaki. I’m a sucker for a fixed blade with a tapered tang. The three handles are Jacaranda wood, ebony and red sandalwood. The blades were made by Master Imai before his death in 2014. He made these for the Singapore military in 2005. Nice lines on these.
Stunning knives Mark!!! :shock: ::not_worthy::

I read Heinlein, Clark, Herbert, Bradbury, Burroughs, R.E. Howard, Tolkien, & Asimov among others. Still read a lot. You are correct, the book was much better than the movie. That is usually the case because while a picture may be worth 1000 words it's still hard to cram a couple hundred thousand words into a 2 hour movie. I nicknamed the knife that way because the first thing I thought of when the USSF was formed was....Starship Troopers. :lol:
You and I have a lot of similar tastes in Sci Fi. Frank Herbert’s Dune series is another favorite. The latest movie version of Dune actually did the books justice. I think that series will be remembered much like Star Wars, only the plot is much better and actors they chose were much better and not comical in looks or actions.
Thanks for the compliment on the knives, these are really nice knives.

Have you read any of the Mortal Engines series by Phillip Reeve? They made a movie of the first book of the four but it didn't do well. There is a box set of 8 books, 3 pre-sequels, the four Mortal Engines books, and a collection of short stories about one of the characters. Not a bad read, very steam-punky though. I enjoyed them.

It's just the standard Ka-Bar fighting knife dressed up for the Star Wars convention. :lol:

As I said, they made a movie of the first book entitled Mortal Engines and it was well done but didn't do well at the box office. The books are well written and if you like the authors we've mentioned you should enjoy these books. Happy reading...

CxIII, when I was a kid ( ::hmm:: back in the olden times), I wanted a MK I or II so bad, :( but I could not afford one, so I bought a Valor copy ::hmm:: ... and they were made in Japan back then. They were looked at similar to how we looked at Chinese made knives when they stared coming into the market. Well, years later and now people are asking top 💰💰💰 for them ::uc:: And I still have the ones I bought back then after all these years ::woot::
I carried the MK I one a lot, but the MK II copy I kept in the original box most of the time. Years later I ended up collecting stuff from Seki-City and I opened up an old footlocker after moving to another state and inside were my old Valor "MK I and MK II" copies. I was pretty happy to see them again and see they had turned from "dogs" into .... ::paranoid:: safe "Queens" .... :wink:
