The turtles have just started to come out in the last few days at a pond that I walk near.
These are small 4 or 6 inch turtles. For some reason one of my favorite critters.

Cool photos from your walk, Ken. One shot looks a bit muddy. There are plenty of places around here like that, especially after all the rain lately. In my area the wild flowers have been great this year. So have the domestic flowers, for that matter. For the last couple of weeks, every time I go out into my back yard, I want to pause and smell the citrus and pear flowers.

Joe- I also like turtles. Most days I take a roughly two mile walk around my subdivision. Here is a little fellow that I picked out of the middle of the street a couple of weeks ago. I left him in my back yard - at least he will not get run over until he wanders out into the street again. Anyone have a clue about the species? I think it is hard to positively identify newly hatched turtles like this one, but I am no expert.

Nice 4x4!!! I'm sure that will come in handy, when the snow and ice hits! I keep getting stuck, in my 2 wheel drive Silverado, at the ranch, when it rains. Have to keep getting the tractor, to pull me out

Congratulations, gdogg! All you need now is a set of tires and you'll have a real truck.
My son just bought a Ford-150 4X4, he had been driving a 1/2 ton Chevy 4X4 for 15 years, said it was time. Me, I'm staying with my old 2000 F-150 4X4 for a while longer, probably much longer.

Nice Truck GD! I’ve always liked fords. Although the only Ford I own at the moment is a pre ‘65 Ford 2000 tractor! Lol.

My 2001 model Surburban has over 260k on it. Still running strong. Lord willing it’ll keep on until the wife gets out of nursing school.

Mel, that may be a red-eared slider. Or it might also be a yellow-bellied slider. He doesn't have his head out in the pics, but if he had red on the side of his head, that's what he is. They are very common across the South. We have'em in pretty much every pond here in Texas.
