Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

That's a real beauty, Rick! I have a couple of the new ones that I really like. Here's one of them.

Thanks for the mention bud. That little sodbuster has become a frequent EDC for me. Just the right size to disappear in my pocket but big enough for cutting needs around the office. And great looking. I returned the big hunter to the retailer. I can't say enough good things about the customer service at GPKnives. QC was not acceptable on the hunter. I won't buy another Case without inspection.

That's too bad about the hunter. I know what you mean though. I want them in hand before I buy also. It;'s just too easy to get a bad production knife nowadays, even in the $100.00 plus range. Although there seem to be some companies that have no problem nailing it in the $50.00 range. I guess that's why I buy a lot of OLD knives!

Ever since I stopped collecting 07 Mini Trappers I have really slowed down on purchasing Case knives. But I still keep an eye peeled for the occasional Case with a Wharncliffe blade like this T.B.101028W Green Sparkle Teardrop. Pretty little knives IMO.

Picked these up over the last couple of years. Someone did a recover on the buffalo clasp before I figured out that model only had packawood covers. It still came in the wooden box though.

Also been missing a 54 pattern and what kind of collector would I be without one. I think this is a 1974, maybe someone can confirm. I am judging by when the etched blade and stainless steel was introduced from one of the other threads here. This one looks like it’s in great condition, sellers pics…

Found this one last week at an estate sale. They had quite a few knives, but mostly overpriced, in my opinion. I was able to pick up two mint Black Box Winchesters and this trapper for $110 total. It's my first red stag. Love the coloring. :) It was very dark in the house, and my eyesight is not the greatest. So I was pleasantly surprised to find the blades were damascus when I got outside in the daylight.

Got these three little gems thanks to Kevin1965 feeding my nascent 028 Teardrop addiction and replacing my Bubba Gum 107W that I gave away to another friend. I love them all but the Black Sea Dichrolam is absolutely mesmerizing. Thanks again, brother K...great additions to my collections. ::tu::
