Got a coyote visiting the mineral lick -- hope to catch him coming by me during hunting season,so I can give him a case of ""Lead Poisoning""

Deer are really using the mineral / salt lick this time of year** __ a raccoon was on top of the salt block

Thanks Big Monk, I'm enjoying the photo's. Did any one bother telling the racoon that to much salt can affect your heart? I think the cayote already knows how bad lead can be for you.

Big Monk, how high is Camera 2 mounted? Just realized that angle and height produces some great pictures! Thinking about this, I can only see one real advantage of placing the camera at deer height and that would be to make height comparisons.
Thanks for posting your pictures, I'll try to have some in a few days. We are beginning to see more deer moving around our place than we have in a good while. Before the storm it was a given, the camera SD cards would be full of critters. I used to keep every picture in a file, then I started culling pictures only keeping those I considered special like watching a certain buck antler growth. I see you have a buck in the 2nd picture, looks like a young'un to me.

Bad coyote problem at my Arizona place, shot 3 out the back
door this winter, see em coming right across the front yard, leave the Ruger 10/22
setting by the back door and run like well you know, shoot right from utility room
One went bout 40 yds to other side of wash, heard the pack popping and a
fighting over his hide bout midnight, kinda made me feel warm and fuzzy

Phillip -- #2 is mounted over my head ( about 6 1/2 / 7 ft. ) I made a camera mount from the video, a guy posted on my hunting forum ( really simple & cheap ) __Link Below __ I took both cameras up, Sunday and will put them back out in a few weeks -- look forward to seeing your pics, Monk

I took my granddaughters to visit the Salato Wildlife Center today. It's operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. They have various native species on display. Here are a few pictures I took there.

Awesome Phil. I’ve been aiming to take my boys up there too. Looks like we’ll definitely have to go.

My oldest two boys, the youngest two boys from across the road, and myself have been working on some raised garden beds and snaking some logs and tree laps out of our way in the pasture, all supervised of course, by Cheyenne the wonder dog.

Thanks guys. I love working on the "farm" with my boys. I like teaching them the things that Pa taught me when I was their age working with him on the farm. Things you don't learn in school or the subdivision are becoming lost to today's young men. I feel it's important to pass those things along to the next generation.
