Thanks to all for the comments on the Camillus Buckmasters canoe. I have several Camillus canoes but I didn't have one with the Buckmasters etch so I scarfed this one as soon as I saw it.

Mike, that's a good lookin' Case. To the best of my knowledge, Case has never issued a canoe with that kind of modification from the factory. So it is most likely an "owner modification".....which of course makes it especially unique. ::tu::

QS, that is a beautiful MOP canoe!!!!! ::super_happy::

Bulldog makes some very fine knives but they are very fond of celluloid. I try to stay away from celluloid handles for all the obvious reasons. However, when Bulldog uses natural handle materials I'm all eyes. Below is a pic of my Bulldog MOP.

Great canoes guys!!! Thanks for showing them!

I don't think I'd ever carry a pearl handled knife but I sure do like the way they look. Those two MOP canoes show above are just simply beautiful to my eyes. ::tu:: ::tu::

Thanks Phil. I have a Bear & Son MOP peanut that I carry in my vest pocket when I wear a monkey suit. You know, weddings, funerals, and the occasional court appearance. That's the only MOP I've ever carried, the others are just fer lookin' at. Even so, they are all sharp, clean, and ready to get mean if the need ever arises.

Thanks QS. Can't say I'm sorry that I've infected you with the canoe bug! ::rotflol:: I'm looking forward to seeing where your new found liking of the pattern will take you. ::tu::

Charlie, these two are the only other canoes I can find at the moment bringing my grand total to three. The scrimshaw otter is an original, done by hand, by an Alaskan scrimshander. I have an offer in on a Case.

That sure sounds like the beginning of a canoe collection to me! ::super_happy:: I love the scrimshaw! ::tu:: If you get the chance you should try to snag some Canal Street and/or Queen made canoes....they're getting hard to find. Happy canoeing!!!

The MOP Bulldog is outstanding. I love this burl canoe. That’s very different, haven’t seen a canoe done in burl wood before. I really like that.

Here's two curly oak canoes and a maple burl canoe from Case, Birds eye maple from Queen, and a burl wood Chinese Remington. I like burl and exotic grained wood handles too and wish cutlers would do more on the canoe pattern.

Charlie, over the top as usual. Burl is a favorite of mine as well. But the only burl I have is one of the deepwooks carving knives. ::tu::

I have a few other wood handled canoes but bone and synthetic are, by far, the most prevalent. The Queen that you like is a member of a "family" that queen did (2010 I think) that included other patterns. Queen also produced a series called The Rawhide Series which included a wood handled canoe. I'm still trying to snag one of the Rawhide canoes.

Below are three Case walnut canoes...

Charlie, I will have to keep an eye open for one of those. I help a friend of mine find knives on eBay and he helps me. It pays to have two eyes looking instead of just one. I got him started collecting the Allegheny Mountain Bone CCC knives. Now if he isn’t bidding on them, I am. We try not to bid against each other. We send text and ask if one anonther is bidding on this one offered by ..... It works out well. I would fell awful if I was bidding against him. Just a courtesy we pay one another. I will do the same for you.
Beautiful canoes. That last one, the Ducks Unlimited is really sweet.

I have a picture of that one on my "Wanted List"! No matter how many canoes you have, it's a sure bet that you don't have 'em all! I've been collecting canoes for years now and while the collection keeps getting bigger....the "Wanted List" never seems to get shorter! ::doh:: ::rotflol::
