Good morning. Our morning isn't pretty colors like Tom's. It's just yellow sun color, but they are telling us it might get darker this afternoon with storms moving in. I think folks south of us will get the worst of whatever is coming. I'm meeting some of my siblings at noon at a local restaurant that was opened in 1960 as a walk up window with great cheeseburgers and was built into a much bigger and very popular restaurant over the years still serving good cheeseburgers. You still order at the same window but the building has been built around the window and there is inside and outside seating. The line at the window often goes out through a porch area and outside and across the parking lot at noon and in the evening. The original owner and his wife passed away a few years ago and his son and grandson now run the business, and it still goes by the original name "Gordys". Other than that, it will be a normal day of work for me. Have a great Tuesday._____Dave

Good Mornin', Folks.
Great picture, Tom! ::clapping::
Started the morning by going to the men's prayer meeting. Local weather says another "cold front" will possibly bring more showers. ::shrug:: Still too wet to mow, more filing in office and house work, also need to pay quarterly property taxes and go to the bank today. Yesterday had a good friend come by around 2pm and we sat and talked until 5. We solved all the world's problems yesterday afternoon. ::tu::
Hopefully we'll all have a successful day. ::nod::

Morning folks, 65 the low heading to the upper 70's poured out about 2 tenths of an inch of rain water that accumulated in the gauge.
Wampus was in attendance this morning ate with gusto and took off for parts unknown.
We got a few things done between showers yestiddy. I even uncovered the grill and cooked some brats, zucchini and corn, first time it's been used this year.
Ike sure sorry to hear about the fatalities.
Philco sorry to hear about your son in law. 🙏
Hope yawl havea good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

Morning diner. Woke up in my tent this morning and got the cooking fire rolling. Had a cup of cold brew coffee. Didn't want to mess around with a perc or press or camp stove since we're only staying one night. Got a bit chilly last night but we survived just fine. I had to go out and do the Dad thing and give some rowdy teenagers who were playing glow frisbee at midnight the third degree. Other than that it's been fantastic. Had sausages roasted over the fire and cooking iron cinnamon rolls. Mmmmm ::drool::

Peace and health everybody ::tu::

Good Wednesday Mornin' to Y'all!
69° and clear this morning. Yesterday was good, only got up to 88. We had some afternoon thunder but that storm slid by us to the south. Got most of the south yard mowed, just bypassed 2 wet spots. The mowing did go somewhat slower due to having to make slow turns without messing up the sod. Got my town run made fairly early.
Normal day ahead today, nothing special planned, the house work, the office work, they are always raising their ugly heads! ::shrug::
Somehow certain dates seem to keep haunting me. Today the 24th, 9 months ago, Miss Joy made it to her heavenly home. That ol' lump in my throat and big hole in my heart are still my daily companions.
Church tonight, the youth are on a trip to a camp in Mobile and children's classes are suspended until August. Never figured the logic behind not providing Bible study for children and youth during the summer. ::hmm::
Y'all have a great "hump day" as Chris often calls our Wednesdays.

Good morning. Cool rainy day ahead for us. My church board meeting ran late last night so I'm running tired and slow this AM. I still have work to do on the kitchen remodel and Bible study tonight and I'm already running late. Have a good Wednesday and be safe.____Dave

Well, I hit the air mattress stone sober at 9:30 and already dead tired ::tired::

It was the first time we brought the boys out camping. Also the first time without bringing alcohol of any kind. Just some coffee and kombucha.

The kettle moraine area is one of my favorite places in Wisconsin. Mauthe lake here is a glacial gem. No motorboats allowed. Just a really peaceful place to be.

It was also my 5 year old's chance to debut his new hobo, a bit of a family tradition. His twin isn't quite ready for a pocket knife yet, but I didn't want him to feel left out, so I gave him a Kershaw Ration. He calls it clippy spoon ::tu::

Mornin' Y'all

Fair day in store here in Dixie, partly cloudy and mid 80's.
Finally got the grass cut yesterday after 2.5 weeks ... boy! was it thick. Afterwards I pulled out the ol'
Craftsman push mower. It's about 23 years old and still starts up on 3 pulls or less .... until yesterday.
As soon as I pulled the stop/brake handle back the cable snapped. First major issue I've had with it,
unlike the riding mower, which is only 12 years old ::dang:: I'll see if I can fleabay a replacement cable.

Yawl have a grand pre-Friday

Happy Thursday all you knife aficionados 😊 this is the lighthouse at the mouth of the Cape Fear River which has the unique distinction of having open ship ladders totaling 131 steps to reach the outdoor gallery level vs winding steps hugging the inside of the lighthouse. The light flashes four times every 10 seconds (four one-second flashes followed by 6 seconds of silence) so it took a few cycles to capture this image.

Good Mornin'!
Another beautiful beach picture! Tom, keep 'em coming.
Overcast so far this morning. We had a 0.35" rain last night, beginning around 8:30, lasted about an hour.
Today is workday, several projects can receive our attention depending on the weather.
Summer weather is upon us for sure.
Y'all have a productive day. ::tu::

Morning folks, 64 at day break, I wuz not awake to see it. Supposed to top out around the 90 mark humidity is back after a couple of days of relief.
Wampus was on his throne and ate a big breakfast.
Gals are having a get together today so I'll try to stay out of the way.
I'm planning on cutting the grass this afternoon.

Mornin' Y'all

Had a fair productive day yestiddy. Got the push mower out, pulled off the broken cable and ordered a new one.
Put a new air filter and sparkalator on the Stihl weed eater, then got the chainsaw out, sharpened and adjusted
the chain and cut up a dead pine that had fell across the road from the house. Even pulled the little generator
out and let it run for a few minutes. Wife brought me more 2 cycle oil and Stabil .... whew !

Another weekend in the hole ahead. Maybe it'll pass peaceful like.
Pot's done singin' .. yawl have a grand weekend !

Good morning David and others. 49 and up to 71 today with some clouds. Yesterday we worked at home and laid about 600 sq.ft. od laminate flooring in the kitchen/dining room and have about 300 more to go today or tomorrow. We are planning to return to the customers kitchen remodel this morning to finish up a few things, and then back home to work. I have a Bible study to prepare for tomorrow morning and nothing else out of the ordinary planned for the rest of the weekend. Nest week is supposed to be rainy so any outside stuff that needs to get done will have to be done this weekend. Have a good Friday and weekend._____Dave
