I went fishing last week and took my camera. However, I got ripped off. I left my canoe beached near a public boat ramp and carried my rods up to the Jeep planning to come back for the canoe with my folding wheeled portage cart. It makes it very easy for one person to drag a heavy wooden canoe around. When I returned, only moments later, the small canvas tackle bag and a six-pack cooler that I had left in the canoe were gone!!! The beat-up digital camera I took was in the tackle bag. The value of the items stolen is probably less that $150.00 but it's the principal of the matter. Lesson learned - When fishing near a large metro area expect the lowest common denominator to be there.

Charlie - that is a bummer! There was one time a few decades ago where I had my car battery stolen at a launching site, so I kind of know how you feel. Within the past few years I have somewhat had my faith in human decency restored. Several times I have launched at local ramps and carefully locked my SUV, then when I got back to the ramp found that I had left my windows down! Some folks might call it Alzheimer's ... anyway, nothing has been taken from my vehicle lately. But I definitely get it that it is the principle that is important and that the loss of trust in human honesty hurts a lot worse than the material loss.

Thanks to all for the kind comments on my little fishing mishap. I had only brought it up because I had promised to get outdoors and take some pics of my EDCs in their natural habitat. The pics were on the camera and the camera grew legs so I haven't made good on my promise yet. I'll try to get out this coming weekend and give it another shot. Ebay can be a wonderful thing, I have another old beat up digital camera already! It works fine and only cost me $12.00 + S&H. I've also replaced the canvas bag and about half of the tackle I lost so I'm well on the road to complete recovery. The six-pack cooler is another story, there were two Killians Red brewskis left in it. I may never recover from that loss!

You've got some beauties, Randy! I guess it's hard to get detail when you have so many in one picture but it is a good picture allowing me to still identify certain ones. I'm not a big fan of fixed blades, other than filet and kitchen knives but what is the double barreled scabbard/sheath in the middle of the picture?

That's a great shot redden, nice poses, different angles and levels, plenty to keep checking out for quite some time. Sweet knives all around.

Redden - nice photo. You know, if anyone at the gun and knife show had a table like that it would be real hard for me to walk by without buying something!

Took a couple dozen pics yesterday. Practicing my knife photography and I see there is still plenty of room for improvement. Lighting, focus and blade glare seem to be what I need to get under control. Enjoying the learning process though.

Knice, I love Northwoods, I love the shield, the materials, the patterns, I love everything about them. Funny thing was the only one I own is an SFO for BFC and is #15 out of 50, a medium Stockman in burnt stag. This knife came with all three tips burnt by whoever sharpened it, the overheated the tips but I loved it so much I reworked the tips and it is well on the way to bein' pocket worn in the 10 or so years I've carried it.

I like the varied creative arrangements in your pics Mad H ..... and the knives within. The Dead poster art/knife poses always make me smile.

Thats a sweet looking Northwoods knife for sure Ivoryman. I don't believe you have a single dud in your collection of knives from what I've seen so far.

Great find on the flashlight TripleF. I love that vintage style and that one looks to be in excellent shape.
