The half round brown/tan speckled piece there that looks like mineralized tusk is very cool.
Rustle, like the spike knife. Did you make it? Pretty wild.

Holy mackerel, Andy!!!! There are some fine photos being posted!

I went fishing last week and took my camera. However, I got ripped off. I left my canoe beached near a public boat ramp and carried my rods up to the Jeep planning to come back for the canoe with my folding wheeled portage cart. It makes it very easy for one person to drag a heavy wooden canoe around. When I returned, only moments later, the small canvas tackle bag and a six-pack cooler that I had left in the canoe were gone!!! The beat-up digital camera I took was in the tackle bag. The value of the items stolen is probably less that $150.00 but it's the principal of the matter. Lesson learned - When fishing near a large metro area expect the lowest common denominator to be there.

This is one I just picked up for the collection. I shot these at night, indoors, with artificial light. I usually don't get results this good under those conditions.

Regret learning of the theft. A terribly frustrating experience. At least you got a nice piece of scrim work and in a nice case.

Thanks Quick Steel. I hope the thief enjoys the knife photos that were on the camera. They also got a couple of lures that will be hard to replace but all in all my lesson wasn't as costly as it could have been.

The Schrade "The Trapper" has been on my wanted list for a long time. It gets a special place in the collection because when I was active in making knives the emblem I used on all my sheaths was a Mountain Man on horseback holding a rifle across his saddle. Very similar to the scrimshaw on this knife. I hope to start making knives again once I retire and have the time.

Sorry to hear you fell among dirty rotten thieves Squach, I feel for you. Was at a cousins house a year ago, he was just telling me how safe his neighborhood was, went to the car and my duffle bag was gone. Found it in a field totally ransacked, Took my wallet, underwear, favorite Seahawks Tshirt, an antler whistle I made for my son, and three of my favorite pocket knives. I don't leave the car unlocked in the driveway anymore. Hope you get the stuff replaced and that it never happens again.

Wonderful knives everyone, I love seeing all the knife photography.

Squatch, very sorry to hear that some scum did that to you. My family went to Yellowstone for a week a few years back, and I had my brand new camera, and took over 500 pictures while there. Mostly landscapes and geysers and wildlife, but quite a bit of family shots also. On our way home we stayed at a hotel in Kansas. During the night, someone broke out the driverside window of my truck and rummaged through everything, stealing the GPS and a portable DVD player and the camera, and a few other things. It was heartbreaking to lose the photos of family on that once-in-a-lifetime trip. The photos were worth more than the camera to me. And it was really fun to drive 1000 miles home without a window during rainstorms.

Tim, glad to see you posting again. I always enjoy your photos.

Nice pics folks, Tim great to see you back on the block. I was just thinking of you yesterday, as my daughter Sofia was going through her knives picking out which ones to take on our camping trip, and we were coon fingeringing that pink Colt lady leg that she received from your girls a few years back!

This is just a basic pic of one of my old reliables, big Case stockman in bonestag...which has traveled many miles with me.
