I have always been attracted by the handguns of the early 20th century. Don't have any. Just attracted.

The lines of the gun are art deco like I think QS. The ones with a finish closer to 100% really pop.

Nice find! The craftsmanship in those old pistols and the patient from use and age are wonderful. I bet you'll be surprised at how well it shoots!

Oh yeah, chambered in 32 ACP, 10 shot double stack magazine, made in about 1910 or 11. Was featured in the movie "Road to Perdition" with Tom Hanks and Jude Law. Law used this model in the movie. An interesting firing mechanism. Striker fired, not hammer fired.
Steve, interesting story of the first time I qualified for concealed carry here in Texas. Probably 15 folks in the class most with the latest and greatest modern pistols. I shot a colt officers model 1911 and the fellow next to me shot one just like yours. The instructor ask him if he might like to shoot something a Little more modern that the old one might not function as well. The man said no he would use the old one. At the end of qualifying his and mine were the only two that suffered no jams or misfires.

I used to have one just like it except it was made for the military and had a loaded chamber indicator.
The design was very unique as the barrel would twist as a means of unlocking when fired. Fun to take down as well. If I remember correctly there were no screws holding that thing together.

I was introduced to a blast at the range today a 9mm carbine by Kel-tec,the Sub- 2000.Can't wait to see her dressed up with all the goodies. She takes a P-mag or glock 17 round magazine. Also ran a Ruger super Blackhawk .44 thru it's paces.

WOW! Lots of fine sidearms being shown here. Dogg, those are all real nice! I have an AR lower that needs building and I’ve toyed with building it in 9mm, but uppers in any caliber are rare as hen’s teeth!

Steve, I love old firearms and that one is extra nice.

Runted you have good taste!

The 3.5 model 27 is hard to find but if you load it with 148 grain Wadcutters in 38 spl its a hoot to shoot.
No recoil and you can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger and never lose your sight picture.

That M27 is as cool as it gets. But that 625, Man! I bet it’s a hoot to shoot.

I have one of those over here in the UK. Great little lever actions, although spares are a problem over here.

An afternoon with my Mossberg in .270 Winchester. Forgot to bring a bag to brace the rifle. My arm and elbow had to serve while shooting off the table.

200 yard targets. Well shot up by others.

100 yard target. My first three shots are found in the head. I shot with no adjustments being made to the optical sight. The Mossberg has a sweet trigger. My days of placing three holes on top of each other are long gone.

That can be a little painful QS unless you had a shoulder pad. The 270W can bark some. Nice shooting.

Those Smith wheel guns are beautiful!

You are right Steve in that the recoil was stouter than I had anticipated. Still, I did not find it uncomfortable to shoot. Loud, but that is why they make ear plugs. All in all, I like the rifle a lot.
