A copy of the WWII M3, popular with Rangers, Paratroops, and other aggressive Americans.

That's nice, Garry!
I see plenty of similar knives, but not usually with a slim blade profile like yours has and I much prefer it, that's a great knife!

Thanks Marco. I think the M3 is the best of the production combat knives of WWII. It's balance is superb. It handles very fast in the hand.

M&M That Jaws knife is so stout it feels like you done got a crowbar in your hand... it sort of gives me a certain "comfort" ...

T-Dog, I bought this M3 thru AG Russell. Probably made off shore, but excellent as were all his offerings.

I've shown this before but here it is again for all who did not yet see this. And it's worth seeing again.

I'm a big fan of stout, Dog, and that dagger looks like it would fill-up my hand quite "comfortably"!
I bet you still had both arms and legs after buying it too, not like if it was a Kershaw, yikes!

It's worth seeing 100 X, Garry, Al Mar makes exceptional knives, fixed or folded.
Very nice, indeed!

Re: Show off your fixed blades!
This came through the mail yesterday. Fished it out of the bay. Nothing fancy, but I thought it would be a good match with my J.C. Higgins double barrel 16 gauge that my Granddaddy gave me many years ago. Not the original sheath, and needs a little work on the blade to clean it up. J.C. Higgins 1967479 Fixed Blade. Seems I read somewhere that these were made by Western.

Nice! Western, correct? I've been thinking about doing the same. My Granddad has the JC Higgins Model 20 in 12 gauge, supposedly a rebranded High Standard Model 200, probably essentially the same shotgun as yours.Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 8:36 pm This came through the mail yesterday. I still regret not picking up a Revelation (Western Auto) .22 bolt action single shot for $100 at a local gun shop. Supposedly, it was a Savage Arms made gun. What I liked was that it was light, and could take .22LR and .22 Shorts. Would've been a great target and varmint rifle.

Thanks Cody. The one I have was bought in 1947 or 48. It was actually made by Fox Stevens. A model 101.7 In the 50's I think the model was changed to a 311Acody6268 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 1:06 amNice! Western, correct? I've been thinking about doing the same. This is a Matt McAlevy custom design. He makes them and his wife makes the sheaths. He only live about 10 miles from me and I was introduced by Robpa.
