I don't know what factory is making them for RoseCraft. The quality is certainly as good or better than RRR and today's Case knives. To my understanding, RoseCraft inspects every knife before putting them out for sale. I will ask my sales rep for some info and post it.

Paul, this link should answer your question. I emailed Andy last night the 14th, and got a response this morning the 15th. As a dealer, I have found RoseCraft Blades customer service to be superb, second to no one!

I don't typically buy chinese knives and had no intention of buying one of these until I saw the barlow.
So, I did buy one. It came packaged in a very nice box with a cutout, a sticker and even a Jolly Rancher.
I have to say the fit and finish is excellent, half stops, very sharp.
I'm going to carry and use it for awhile to see if it holds up.

According to the link posted above, RCB will play the 'vault' game that Case currently does :

COPIED FROM THE LINK PROVIDED ABOVE; BOTTOM OF THE PAGE

In 2024, RoseCraft Blades will send seven RoseCraft Blades Traditional Slip Join Pattern Styles to the RoseCraft Vault. What does that mean for RoseCraft collectors? It means when these pattern styles are gone, you’re not going to see them again until RoseCraft chooses to bring those pattern styles out of the Vault and back into …

Now, currently on the page of "Traditional Knives" for sale by RCB, they only have 11 (eleven) styles to choose from, and one of those is out of stock. Soooo .... they're gonna discontinue 2/3rds of their product in an attempt to drive up demand ?????
::shrug::
I briefly considered a purchase based on the glowing reviews by my fellow AAPK patrons ... no more

Chris, I am a RoseCraft Blades dealer, and spoke with Andy about this. One of the reasons they are vaulting them is these patterns will be coming out in different configurations, meaning handles, and not discontinued. If that means stag, micarta, or what, I do not know. He told me these would be available in their current configuration for months yet before going into the vault. The smaller white bone Riverbend Skinner has been out of stock for quite a while now. The Cane Creek Swell Center Jack with a G10 handle on the traditional knives page is a new pattern that is coming soon (link below). From a collector's point of view, I don't like seeing the "vault game" played either. Hope this info helps.

Some more info I just learned after the reply above is:
- The Red Apple Bone French Broad Jack will be changing to rosewood and/or a sandalwood handles
- Another new traditional pattern will be added with the Cane Creek Swell Center ... called RCT014 Gunstock with a spade shield, black micarta, and clip point
- More traditional knife patterns are forthcoming
Will post more updates as I receive them. Many thanks!

Just released a 2 blade cigar shape, a clip and a straight edged lambsfoot. A 2 blade stockman in other words, a good looking versatile work knife/EDC.

While any fool can get away with calling darn near every knife that folds a jack knife, the Briarpatch Jack is a Muskrat. If its "lamb's foot" was a Wharncliffe few would argue the point. Multiple manufacturers have named their knives with a clip point opposite a Wharncliffe Improved Muskrats. Struggling to set theirs apart, in their reserve (RRR) line Rough Ryder named theirs Hedge Hog (RRR005).

Names aside, I'm tempted.

Hehe ... that is the idea! I try to keep knives that are better ones condition wise, in the store, and point out the flaws when describing.
Thanks for looking Jerry!

For all who may be interested in getting this knife, I should have more in stock sometime in May, date TBD.
