Let's See Your 112s!

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Two on show here my 'working' 112 and one I customized after discovering the 112 blade is very similar to a Lanny's Clip.

Thanks for looking Derek
That is amazing, Derek! I don't work on knives but that looks like it took a lot of work. Very nicely done.

You know, I've never made the connection between the 112 clip blade and the clip blade on a Lanny's Clip but I certainly do see it now that you mentioned it.
Thanks Rick - it was a bit tricky but took it slowly and it came together

Dogg, we sure need a LIKE button so I can push it for your Buck 112. I’ve seen you post about it before and I know it is one of your all time favorites. OH

I bought one of the modern designed Buck 112 Slim Pro’s a couple weeks ago. Got all the updated features - thumb stud S30V blade steel and G10 synthetic handles. OH

Thanks John. I am sitting here researching oil and Micarta (G10). The joint needs flushing but I am unsure if oil will damage the G10. Going to try a search for it now. OH

Thanks Dogg, I’m really liking carrying this one as an EDC (in addition to my traditional pocketknife). I went ahead and used the COON-P synthetic knife oil (from SMKW) on the blade pivot pin - it worked great, the excess wiped clean with no discoloration on the G10. The knife blade is giving that final snap now just before closing. OH
