Do y'all find some knives that make you happy beyond all reason? I feel that way about the Schrade 5OT. It's too small for food prep, which I do often. Really too small for yard work or camping. But man, I smile when I use this. Used it to wrap presents the other night. Touched up on the strop and it whispered through wrapping paper. Will be in the RFP for gift opening assistance.

The Opinel #10 will be close at hand, as it always is for kitchen duty. The 5OT makes me happy. The big Opinel gives me peace of mind. I'm not knuts, right?

Dave, nice knives! … and to answer your question, many of my favorite knives make me unreasonably happy - but I'm OK with that …

It's funny that you mention using a knife to wrap presents - I do too.

I wonder how many other knife folks do the same - I'm bettin' most ...

Scott, I really like that sawcut forest green Barlow - almost snagged one back when they were available - after seeing yours, reminds me that I wish I had - cool Christmas knife.
