I don't know much about it, but I see them on ebay and ACK and they look VERY much just like yours, and they have asking prices of US$4,500.-$7,000., so you might have a gold mine sitting there, I hope so!

Thanks a bunch. I have found good patina comes from cutting up a bunch of salad veggies. Lettuce, broccoli, carrots, peas, onion, calaflower, cellary, cucumber, mushrooms, radish, bell pepper, lime and balsamic vinegrette dressing, sliced red grapes on top.The patina is rich, dark, and thick. Better than a single item. Try it, love to see your results.

Thanks doglegg. One of life's disappointments as a knife collector occurred when Marbles USA folded and the brand moved off shore. Nevertheless, I have to admit that the quality of this camp knife is very good. Everything is tight, sharp, and more practical than many a camp knife. It even includes a small Phillips screw driver.

I share your sentiments on this. Not only Marbles but Camillus and so many others have folded or were purchased by offshore companies. While in all fairness I have to admit that many of them make a good product, it’s just not the same. It’s not only knives but just about everything these days is produced offshore. I prefer to buy American but it’s getting harder by the day to find American made products.

Today, I decided on carrying this one. I may have to add it to my EDC rotation.

It is a Bear & Son. Sambar stag covers. It’s exceptionally well made. All their knives are made in America ! Bear has a (well deserved) reputation for inconsistency. I NEVER buy them online. I want to see and handle them first.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 6:12 pm Oscar, who made this one? It reminds me of a Bear & Son.
A good one is a fairly priced gem. I’ve ordered some I had to return. I learned that lesson quickly. I don’t buy them online anymore.

I have several from Bear MGC / Bear and Son, and for the most part, I like them. I've got an MGC stockman in my pocket as I type this. It's been my experience that they have had issues with their QC department.
