Flippers are not normally my style, but that one has enough of a traditional look that I really like it!
My daughter's boyfriend bought one last year that was a similar "hybrid", and it was really good in-hand.
I think that you will like that one!

Re: It's In The Mail
I've been interested in getting that one myself--looks a lot like the Finch, made in the same country, but a tiny fraction of the cost.
However, ever since Rosecraft introduced their sheepsfoot, it's a hard decision to make. Sheepsfoot Barlows are by no means easy to find or cheap--heck, mine's a worn-out Kutmaster a family friend bought for me at an estate sale. Seems that once you get to--"anything that ain't clip point", it automatically doubles in price.
I wish Bear would start introducing more patterns in their Barlow, since right now, they are only American company producing an affordable one. Heck, I'd really love for Rough Ryder have a variety of blades in their Barlows.

Nice! Love the bone!
I have a Frost copy of the Mini Copperlock which I got in the POS Exchange, and it's made me want to try the Copperlock even more. There's now quite a few variations in carbon steel, which is rare for a small lock blade knife.

Re: It's In The Mail
Thanks Cody!
The Copperlock is a beautiful patern. This one is my second one. Unfortunately, I keep them both in my little showcase, missing out on the joy of carrying them.
Add: And some of these come with a WHARNCLIFFE BLADE. They look awesome!!!

Re: It's In The Mail
It hit the mailbox yesterday. Near razor sharp, good walk n' talk, solid lockup with no wobble.
The assist open (and also on closing) feels comparable to Kershaw Speedsafe.
Only complaint is the liners on the handle spine are a tad sharp when I flick the open tab,
and typical of the style, the liner lock is tricky to disengage.
All in all, worth the $24 ...
Had to Google Finch and Rosecraft .... Finch ain't gonna happen at those prices
I would spring for the Rosecraft if it had a pen secondary.

Same reason I have yet to get the Rosecraft--in all honesty, I use the pen blade more than the larger main blade.royal0014 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 10:35 amIt hit the mailbox yesterday. Near razor sharp, good walk n' talk, solid lockup with no wobble.

Thank you Sir, I think I'll like them. I couldn't believe no one out bid me at that price.

Re: It's In The Mail
I knew my rule was "Nothing until I get some stuff organized and sold off", but er, well, that lasted all of eight days. Yet, you know what happens. My grandmother wanted me to order some mailer envelopes and "I figure I might as well buy everything I've been planning to buy with them".
Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife (Grohmann copy). The Grohmanns have about doubled in price since I started looking at them (used to be, they could be had for about $60, now they are $100+); and I decided to buy the Cold Steel to try the blade shape before getting the real deal.
And for some reason, the Roach Belly too. These were only $16 each, so I figured they were worth buying together.
The Roach Belly is Cold Steel's take on the ubiquitous "cowboy knife". I'm getting one made, but I figured again, I'd try this one first. Most cowboys and cowgirls carry them in a cross-draw sheath (which works better for me also), so the Mora-style sheath may end up getting replaced with one I'll be making soon.

Re: It's In The Mail
No, not at all. I'm not one to pay attention to values, but you'd end up paying more for each one of them than you paid total (though, I'm guessing shipping and buyer's premiums were in that too).
Awesome pair! Mine are both '70s era, but the same patterns. I inherited the Eisenhower from my Granddad, and I got the 5233 from Bladebuddy during this past POS Exchange.
