Very nice Tsar!Tsar Bomba wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 1:31 pm Starting to enjoy this combination, though I have to protect the Bostwick from the elements.
P.S. Campagna knives going up on eBay this week, including a muscadine Ancient Barlow and an ebony Real Lambfoot. Some AAPK forum knives as well. Keep an eye out!

TMK, within a micro-second of seeing your photo I knew I was seeing something exceptional. So no need to downplay your photo.
That massive chunk of ebony sets off the highly polished bolster and blade. And vice-versa. Mr.Bridwell obviously knows his way around a knife. I wonder if you know the kind of steel he used. In any event you have yourself a superlative piece of workmanship. Congrats!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Scott, that old cattle knife is a worthy tote any day. Love those 4-blades.
David, love that pair but for some reason the horn fixed-blade really speaks to me. I'm a fan of the blade shape aScottnd that looks especially useful.
BTW I've been thinking on it and I would like to give at least a little lead time to my fellow AAPK folks with these forum knives that I plan to list. I am putting up each of the 2016-2019 AAPK forum knives (both colors of #74, rust red Churchill #35, autumn gold #14 and chestnut groove #97, respectively) but I want to offer "first right of refusal" to AAPK members and participants. Unfortunately I can't do a full listing (yet) because I haven't yet renewed my premium membership on AAPK, but once I get the first payouts from my recent batches I will fix that (rather sell through here anyway, eBay fees are a killer). In the meanwhile, if anyone is interested you can send me a message directly right up until the first bids come in after they get listed tomorrow or Friday. If there is interest I will keep it in the AAPK family before offering to the wider world. Of course, the non-AAPK knives on my eBay page are always up for bids, too.

Thanks I-Man, as usual you are crushing it with the old bones and the lovely GEC. I just hope it stays dry here so I can break out some more carbon steel this week. Got a few EDCs I've been itching to bust out most of the summer.
Thank you kindly, TMK!

When you post a knife, Kerry, you post a knife!!!
Your knife with those materials, is what my mind's-eye sees as the perfect knife. My jaw dropped when I saw it. I'd bet dollars for donuts that it's nice n' heavy too. If that's the kind of knives you own, please show us more. Please understand, that's not to say the knives you've been posting aren't great, it's simply that one really spoke to me as I was crusin' on by! This was my reaction from a picture, I'd probably do zoomies around the walls if I saw it in person!
You have wonderful taste, my brother!

Scott, I think yours might be stamped "Forged USA" like this one... were they made by Camillus?

Totin' a KK Barehead spear Jack today, forget how old it is so I don't have a guess at the moment as to who made it. Half-stops, Rosewood and excellent walk & talk.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Thanks QS! It is a fantastic knife that was made by a very skilled craftsman in Taylors, South Carolina. I bought it in an antique store. It had been left in the elements at some point in its life, but cleaned up pretty well. I'll post some better pics below.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 9:44 pm TMK, within a micro-second of seeing your photo I knew I was seeing something exceptional.
