If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

It’s peach pickin’ time in Texas. Picked the first batch yesterday. Had home baked peach pie with vanilla ice cream last night. ::super_happy::

Plums are starting to ripen also. (Bottom picture).

We’re a couple of hours drive from Parker County, but we have been to the Parker County Peach Festival. Worst part of it is driving through the DFW metromess to get there. ::uc:: You will rarely find anything but Blue Bell ice cream at our house. Their Homemade Vanilla flavor is unbeatable on fresh peaches or pie! ::ds:: Every summer they release a batch of a flavor called “Peaches and Homemade Vanilla”, that’s just about as good.

I ran across a few Dragon Root plants today, they are found throughout the Eastern U.S., though rare in some areas. The berry cluster will eventually turn a bright red. A Five Lined Skink watched me.

Great garden pictures all! Thanks for sharing.

Ike, I’ve encountered Dragon Root a few times years ago when I lived in east Texas, but can’t recall seeing any around here in north central Texas. Hard to miss the red berries when they’re ripe. It may be too dry here, or it doesn’t like the more alkaline black prairie soil. ::shrug:: Very unusual looking plant.

It is a cool looking plant, and I have heard of people growing them as a garden or accent plant. I will just enjoy them as I come across them, rather than introduce a toxic plant into my yard. I will post another pic when the berries turn red.

Nice pics, BH!

Beautiful pictures everyone! ::nod:: ::tu::

Super cool Skink pictures Ike! He's beautiful! ::nod:: ::tu:: :D

Here are a few I took today. ::tu::

I'll start with my new two chamber sand stone planter. These were used by farmers as feeding troughs in days goes by. :wink:

The right side is planted with Cactus 🌵 & succulent plants. ::tu::

The left side is planted with beard cloves & California yellow poppies. ::tu::

I especially like the tiny little clover that is growing with one of the cactus 🌵 plants I bought. :lol: There are at least 245 different types of clover world wide. ::nod::

And a few from around my little wood shed. ::tu::

Thanks Ike! ::handshake:: That's a very nice compliment. ::nod:: ::super_happy:: ::tu::

But just wait till you see what I am working on right now for on my wood shed. ::nod:: It's going to look awesome IMHO. I'm still working on a few details at the moment. Like some "napkin technique" inside of one of the objects and I need to get a couple more things in town & drill some larger holes in some tiny flower pots but with that said, I'd like to have it finished by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. I guess you could call it a 3-D picture??? Or just"Art". If ya don't really know what the heck it is you've just created you can always call it "Art" so I'll call it "Garden Art". :wink: ::nod::
Stay tuned for the pictures in a day or two. ::nod:: ::tu:: ::super_happy::
